Was very sunny but cool, with lots of wind. The first part of the easy overlook loop was VERY rough compared to the many times we've been. Should have took more pics of it to show how bad (fun) it was.

The last half was way smoother than any other time before. They widened the path by almost double, and was almost as smooth as pavement for the last few miles. They also took out a bunch of the big rocks at the overlook that were fun to climb. I tried to take a few pics to illustrate it.

Was pretty busy, mostly side by sides, and a few packs of jeeps. Kids in camp since school was out, always a nice day up there. Followed by D&B's on the way home.

We did the G1, to G9, to G2. That rough part was G1.

The first part was really, really rough compared to before. Like all the dirt and small gravel got washed away. Jagged rocks sticking up, and many of them. Even a few huge boulders, from what looked like a rock like. One about twice as big as my Bronco. Several others, not quite as big. One section I barely made it thru because it was so narrow.

Then like I said, all the sudden the path was much wider, and smoother than before. Took the fun out of it. We'll have to explore more routes I guess now. But rain will probably wash away some of the smoothness too.
