I figured now that I'm starting to get some parts together I might as well start a build thread. My plans for the build over time are to incorporate as many OEM upgrades as possible for as cheap as possible to bring it up to higher trim standards. So far I have a set of Badlands wheels and a brand new SAS suspension waiting to be installed.
Future plans are:
Full audio upgrade
Capable or modular bumper
OEM foglights running from the factory switch
Upfitter switches
Lockers or limited slip? Maybe the distant future....
Taillights
Signature headlights
Tune
Any other OEM parts that I can make work.

I 3d printed some speaker adapters and installed my Dynaudio Esotan woofers. I will be doing an active 3-way setup up front with an 8 channel dsp.

Today I made a huge score on some parts from a local Bronco owner. 5 badlands wheels, lug nuts, upper control arms, and a brand new set of SAS takeoffs. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!

Man. I feel like if you know a lift and lockers are in your future, you should’ve just opted for a SAS package on your original purchase. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My 2025 base build is DONE.
1) 33” MTs installed.

Hoping I don’t get the bug to venture down the build path again. (Did it several times with my jeeps) On those, the best move I ever made was starting off with a factory Rubicon.

I don't necessarily have a need for the lockers right now so they may never happen. I bought it from a dealer, not built on the ford site. I would have loved to customize one but where's the fun of having everything done for me?

Yesterday I installed some raptor style taillights. I know raptor purists won't like it but I got a great deal on them and I like how it looks.

As a fellow Base owner, did you have to make any modifications for the Raptor taillights?

I had to disassemble the base lights and move the mounting hardware over to the new ones. They are LED and came with a resister installed. They plugged right in. It was a paint to get to all the bolts for the lights. 4 plastic retainers, 4 hidden bolts behind the rubber seal and the plastic body pieces between the light and the bumper.

Thanks for the reply. I will definitely be watching this thread to see what mods you do in the future. Just so I can steal get some ideas about some of the things I'd like to do to mine.

Right now my future plans include mabett seat covers, a capable or modular front bumper, sasquatch suspension, flowmaster exhaust foglights wired factory with a swapped headlight switch, sound deadening the doors and rear cargo area, upfitter switches, and 3w floor mats

I have the 3W floor mats...front, back, cargo area and the rear seat back covers. I personally love them. They fit like a glove and they're easy to clean. 3W did an amazing job with these.

I found a Flowmaster cat back on eBay for a steal.... Under $400 shipped as a scratch and dent item! I couldn't pass it up. I also got a trailer hitch for $25 locally but I will probably have to source the 4 pin adapter for it.

Double check with those in the know, but I don't believe there is any reason to swap to the Sasquatch UCAs, they are the same as regular.
