All Broncos have the engine compartment harness prewired. They do not have the interior pillar/switch harness installed. The fuse box also needs to be replaced. I guess they still include the engine prewiring since it is the main vehicle harness and having two part numbers for something as minor as switches does not make sense. I cannot come up with a good reason of going this route vs the Hanspilot style upfitter switches. OEM quality, relatively easy install and 6 30amp circuits that you can put smaller fuses in if necessary. All for $320.
@Fast Eddie Sorry for the stupid question but where is the other end of the wires in the engine compartment terminate?

Various parts of the truck. There is one purple wire up by the top of the radiator support as an example. They ran them to different parts of the truck so you could use the switches for various duties. There is a diagram available that shows where they all are- I've seen it on this forum.

I know this is an older thread but I am looking to find out where has everyone found the lowest pricing on the Ford OEM 6 switch panel, the harness and the fuse box. I am not interested in a non OEM kit or the Ford Performance kit. I am not a fan of power coming from a connection to an open fuse slot. TIA

Very helpful, you mean like you?
Not one person ever has said the OEM retrofit system is on par much less better than the aftermarket options. Plus it costs a multiple more. Like I said, if you hate money and want a lesser system, rock on bro....

Well one has said it now, the original OEM wiring, switches and fuse box are superior to most aftermarket solutions I have seen. It has OEM connecters and pins on all wiring, with the fuses for each circuit lacate in the factory fuse box. Mounting aftermarket controllers and boxes under the hood is not a clean looking installation and looks just like it is, Cheap. Not to mention tapping into the fuse box with a piggy back connector is a cobb job that started decades ago and many times a source of problems. Do the aftermarket ones work, Yes. Do the components look OEM, No. Are they covered by Ford warranty, No. Ford OEM is also easier to install and totally plug and play, not one splice. Are they better than OEM, No. So I will go back to my original question that you didn't answer when you referred I was Dumb and ask. Does anyone know where I can get the lowest price on Ford replacement parts to install the factory upfitter switches?

Since a few of you have asked in DMs. The OE parts (fuse box, harness and overhead switches) that we were selling a few years ago in the $500-$600 range is now over $900 due to continual price increases from Ford. Ford Performance is coming out with a kit (M-9100-BR) we were told should be available sometime early June. It is not the same as OE but we should be able to sell these for about $500 + shipping, assuming the pricing doesn't change from when we got the quote from the FAD a couple of weeks ago.

Here's the link to the FP kit which has a link to the instructions if you're curious about what's involved.

I installed the Ford performance 4 aux switch : M9100BR. I can answer any questions about the install (easy). The question I have is about the connection marked "A7" with a two-conductor end. What's it for? The instruction say "for future use". Does that mean it does not currently have a use?
