This is the first I have heard of the dv8 option. I’ve been meaning to update this list, tomorrow I should have some time.

Interesting. I’ll have to check that out. They were VERY adamant that reinforcement wasn’t needed with the design of the SPEC series bumper and how the bumper and skid plates mount to the frame.

I’ll be installing my dv8 spec series bumper, frame horn reinforcement and skid probably in a month. My April is too busy to get this done but after I install I’ll give some feedback back (unless someone else beats me to it)

That's because it doesn't. I wish DV8 was more descriptive, but I just tried fighting for over three hours trying to figure why I couldn't fit the brackets properly only to take a closer inspection on the listing page to see that it only works on after market winch capable bumpers. It doesn't say anything about it not working with any factory bumpers except the "doesn't work with factory hardware" part. Really sucks that I spent close to 100 bones just to find this out. Looks like i'll just install my rough country high winch mount without any reinforcements at all, I'm over this.

They told me it means you have to use the hardware that comes with the kit, not the factory hardware.. I haven't installed mine yet

For DV8? Only thing I got was just the brackets and bolts

Well one thing to note about the dv8 bumper plus their frame horn is that the bolts supplied are too short to thread to mount the bumper. Wound up using the 6 oem bolts. I don’t think dv8 accounted for the added thickness of their own frame horn reinforcement.

someone in the reviews of the spec series bumper mentioned that. I’ll replace them with better bolts later. Kind of unsettling knowing that the bumpers are potentially held on by just a few threads if you use their supplied mounting hardware

I have the A.D.D. ones. Had to modify the factory nut plate.

Strange, I didn't, which bumper do you have, not that it would make a difference, but something is off?

I had the base bumper and then switched to mod bumper.
