More trip prep with adding the chainsaw mount to my tire carrier. I will absolutely prioritize getting an expedition one rear bumper after this trip so I can get all this weight off the door.

Yeah it sucks having a ton of shit mounted on the outside but a lot of what I have done has come from my first long trip in it with my son. It was just me, him and our pup for 4 days in VA and playing tetris every morning getting all our camping shit in the truck got old FAST. Especially since we always camp at a different location every night on these bigger trips. Tent, bedding, axes/shovels, water supply, ez up, firewood etc was awful and I didn't even bring the chainsaw on that one since my buddy had one. I had the two back seats folded down with only his seat up in the back and the pup sat in the front seat. Shit kept falling on him too on the harder trails. Not to mention morning pack ups were 1-2 hours minimum being it just being me doing packing/making him breakfast etc.

Now bedding stays up in the tent, no need for an ez up with the 270, tools are split between inside and outside, water supply and fuel is on the outside, and I don't need to smell the fumes of a freshly run chainsaw in the cabin.

That's friggin cool! Your Bronc will be staring in the next Final Destination film. I see flying chainsaws on the freeway scene for you...

recipe please!! πŸ˜‹
I need for my Yellowstone trip next week 😊
Choose a thick center cut bacon. Need it thick as you will oven bake the bacon at a lower temperature to render the fat. Cut the package in half while the bacon is in the wrapper as it will be easier. Then separate each piece into a Zip Lock bag. Add bourbon - enough to coat the pieces to marinade overnight.

Use a roasting pan so the fat drippings drain away while the bacon cooks. Lay out the pieces (might need to make multiple batches) and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. If your bacon is thinner, than only bake for 15 minutes. Best to check at 15 and continue to cook longer if necessary.

While the bacon is cooking, add brown sugar, minced pickled jalapeno (well drained/strained), and splash of bourbon - enough to make the mixture into a syrup.

Dredge the cooked bacon in the syrup and lay them out on the pan. When all the pieces have been coated, then take a fork and spread out the jalapeno pieces that were left behind after the dredging on top of the bacon.

By this time, any excess syrup would have dripped through the pan. Move each piece onto a plate in a single layer (probably will take multiple plates). And place the plates into the refrigerator to harden the syrup.

Lol I can't tell if you are being serious but the chain saw is secured very well between the bar mount and the stabilizing strap.

Got my new TUFSKIN emblems installed... They turned out perfect... Not overly gaudy, but just enough information.

I installed the Ford Performance ARB twin compressor kit and some hood struts today. I can't say that I am a fan of the instructions for the compressor. I think the hardest part was getting the harness plugged back into the DLCM. That was super frustrating.

My daughter and I just made the pattern for our Bestop Skyrider liner. Itll be held on with industrial velcro, a layer of marine grade black canvas, a layer of rubber then another layer of canvass. We're trying to reduce the sound before we take a family vacation down to Mississippi and Florida. We definitely want the soft top on the Bronco so we can just flip it back but don't want to lose hearing on the drive down and back.

Nobody makes anything like what we're doing for the Skyrider so if it works we might start selling them here if you guys are interested. Hotheads Headliners makes one for the Sunrider (front of the truck only) but not the skyrider (front and back seating areas). I'd have bought one if it was made but theres nothing on the market that I could find.

We'll take some pics when done.
