So, I am a big fan of custom wheels on my vehicles. I generally dislike the rather bland wheels OEs use, and my Bronco is no exception.

Right now I have the stock 2024 Badlands wheels/33" tires. Someday in the nearish future (a couple years) I will probably want to upgrade to 35" tires AND have the option for bead locks. I have plans for a lift as well before doing that. I'd also like a bit more offset right now -- something roughly what you get with SAS -- not in the future. But right now, I'd like to keep my KO2s.

The question is: Can I do all that while keeping my KO2s for now? Or would I be having to buy wheels that are a dead end for my longer term upgrade plans. I'm not ready to do a lift/put 35s on my Bronco and I don't want to buy a different set of 33s.

Hmm...

In my opinion:

If you want new wheels and tires - get new wheels and tires.

If you want to keep your KO2s, and just want a bit more offset for now, throw a 1" spacer in there now, and then chuck it / sell it when you get your new wheels and tires and get a smaller offset on the new wheels.

I don't see much value in taking your existing tires and transfering them to new wheels... just get new KO2s in the size you want (or KO3s or whatever) and sell your current wheels/tires as a mounted/balanced/TPMS set

Well, the reason to keep my K02s (vs new 33s) is they only have 8,000 miles on them, hah. If I were ready to put the money into a lift, I'd go 35s/new wheels but not ready to put that kind of money down.

Thanks for your thoughts though!

I will probably want to upgrade to 35" tires AND have the option for bead locks.
If you want the capability of beadlocks but want road legal wheels check out the Method Bead Grip line. They're not beadlocks but grip the bead better than other non beadlock wheels.

New 25 Badlands owner here. I was on the same path as the OP, then added only 1.25ā€ wheel spacers. The look is vastly improved for about $100. I will probably hold off on the Lift, wheels, and 35’s.
this was a great suggestion from Brian_b.

you can run your 33ā€ and go to 35ā€s with Sasquatch spec. 8.5ā€x17ā€ +30 offset wheels…method and Icon pro wheels are good alternatives to ā€realā€ beadlock wheels…but yeah, spacers are the cheap way to get ā€œpokeā€ if that is your thing…
