I went from OKC to Southern IN, so I feel your frustration. If you feel froggy, plan a trip to the Badlands in West Central IN, or further down to East KY. I'll ride with ya! The DBBB is a great adventure area. There are several folks on these threads from the KY/TN area as well.

Gotta get my new house finished being built and some days off what is the DBBB exactly the only thing near me is cornfields, and today I rebelliously drove through a gravel road in a new housing development with an avoidable road closed sign that cut 12 minutes off my drive home time. ( it's literally the 3rd time i was able to use 4H not in snow..)

We only had time to do Punkin Hallow and Spas Creek. We did take a drive through Nada Tunnel on our drive to find kayak tours.

We are plotting a trip to KY in the very near future. I have more DBBB to hit!

This adventure map is going to keep me busy for a while. The New River Gorge is in KY and the Windrock ORP is in TN. Both areas are amazing and as you may see, plenty to do!

With Memorial Day in the rear view and all the many happenings folks had, I'd like to share ours. My wife and I have picked up the mantle that my family has carried by putting out 300 some flags on veteran Graves between 2 very old grave yards. Both are under the care of my father. They contain my ancestors and are from the early 19th century. One only 9 family members. The other will collect the rest of us that are walking today. One of the flags placed was on a Revolutionary war vet, and family forefather. The Bronco had to go on a non road adventure just to get to one back in the hunting and hay fields on the plateau. A little mud and a few rocks and we got there, impressing my 76 yo father how comfortable and capable the Bronco handled.

I drove my Bronco in a convoy of VFW vehicle that visited and performed Memorial Day Services at 13 urban and mostly rural cemeteries. We publish our schedule and there is a crowd waiting at each one. I feel honored to command the Rifle Squad that fires the 21 gun salute.

Received and unboxed the Motley Bronco tool kit today. Have to say I was impressed with initial quality. I got gitty with everything having a bronco printed or etched on it.
They say you have everything need for regular maintenance or trail repair in here; except the angled 19 mil to get the transmission dipstick cover off.

Me likey......a lot.
I can leave my trail kit in my Taco now and not guess if I have what I need, when I need it. YES!

Added Ford Racing B & C cage brace. I didn’t connect the C brace to the roll cage/bar above the pax head since I’ve seen in this forum that MY25+ would have to lose 1 of the 2 rear dome lights. I thought about cutting the trim to fit since it is rubbing a little with the C brace, but since I don’t normally rock crawl or hit Baja/dunes, I’m just gonna wait and see how much movement/squeaking its going to cause. Worse case maybe put some thin carpet tape or something. Plus, I may take it off to get new rear speaker pods replace anyways.

Got the procal tuner installed and the Ford factory ararb air compressor ordered.

Installed some cheapo amazon hood struts. They work well, and were easy to install (less than half an hour). I cannot speak to their longevity at this point, though.

The manufacturer says they are stock height, but they actually open quite a bit higher than the stock prop rod.

Got a few mods done on the Bronco. High clearance fenders, some cutting and welding, and then stuffed 39" KM3s under it. New 39s vs old 37s.
