How much does your insurance cover on that bill?
I paid out of pocket... I figured if they raise my rate, long term it would cost more:cautious:

Boring update, hah:

Over the last couple days: 10,000 mi (self) service
- oil/filter
- test/top off coolant (was a bit below min, blah, but tested fine)
- top off washer fluid
- replace air filter/clean enclosure (lots of dusty miles)
- replace cabin air filter (lots of dusty miles)
- test brake fluid (perfect still, yay arid country)
- rotate tires (5 tire)
- clean up engine bay a bit
- spend 45 minutes finding the GD torx bit I dropped into the engine bay while buttoning up the air filter

I bought my Heritage because I liked the retro look. The interior was very off to me (it was more retro Atari) so immediately ordered some Coverking seat covers. It does look more in line with what I wanted but still not 100% sold on it.
The install was very easy minus the damn cupholder in the back seat. The materials/fit are pretty nice (I'm from the Jeep world and always used Bartact seat covers which were top of the line as far as fit goes...Coverking is not that good, but pretty good.
A couple of crappy cell pics:

Hit up the stanislaus forebay to American camp lookout (abandoned fire lookout over looking New Melones Lake) trails near Sonora, CA.

Not a bad trail, a lot of deep ruts and wash out parts, be ready for some pin stripes

But the view is pretty dang good

Tonight I got around to installing the gas hood struts for the Bronco. So much better. A little confusing at first since the instructions weren’t really the best but I got it figured out. $49 from Amazon. Hood strut kit on Amazon

Over the next few days I have to put the EZ4x4 Hard top lift together and install Broadcoct door hangers on the garage wsll
Looks like the same ones I bought, and yeah, the instructions took a bit of "deciphering." BTW, for those doing this in the future - I found that I did NOT need to remove the wiring harness as shown in the instructions. It's possible to work around it (carefully).

Found an app that allowed me to download music from YouTube onto a USB and play it in our BRaptor this morning. TubeFetcher is free and I had a older USB drive laying around. It actually works!

Finally got around to installing the Kurt hitch receiver I've had in a box for almost a year.

2025 Badlands Sasquatch, 2-door.

I performed one and a half installations! -- the new bolts would not fit per the instructions with the nuts facing rearward. I had to remove them and turn them to face forward like the original big-ass bolts. The length of the new bolt exposed threads stuck into the bumper frame more than the big-ass bolts for the wiring bracket did after I had tried backing them out the 3 miserable threads they could before hitting the bumper frame.

Other problems included the breaking loose of one of the welded round threaded things on the wiring bracket for the original big-ass bolts.
After trying a small Vice Grip and medium Channel Locks, it took an 18-inch monkey wrench to hold that round thing.

I had the jack there to hold the bumper as I first removed it -- wasn't too sure just what I'd find doing it myself

Not too good of a photo showing interference of the new bolts after only torquing them to be snug (I didn't trust the amount they stuck out) with the bumper pushed in but not yet fitting at all fastener locations.
The far two new bolts/nuts are the worst interference, maybe there are a few different Bronco configurations out there:

After turning them to face the other way, I know these should be torqued at the bolt heads, but had to make do at the nuts (couldn't reach the heads with the muffler and other crap in the way) and not done to full torque. Only planning on a bicycle rack at this time, so.... good enough for now.

I cleaned everything the best I could before starting the job (still had 3 gallons of dust, sand, and gravel falling onto my face) and after with a new spraying of Fluid Film on everything.

One last thing: it took me three days to get the two parking sensor clips snapped back together.
I snooped on an old thread here to find the best solution is cleaning (used a piece of pipe cleaner) and a bit of lube on the rubber seals and clip surfaces.

I'm not saying what I used for lube.

I finally took a look at my skid plates after a trip to Uwharrie on Saturday. They definitely took some good hits.

Here is a question for the masses since this is the second time I've had to do this post trip.

How often do you check/tighten your skid pate bolts?

After a trip to Uwharrie in May I started hearing a creaking noise under the bronco. After a thorough check, I found that some of the skid plate bolts were loose. The noise went away after tightening them.

On Sunday, post trip, I started hearing the same creaking noise. Sure enough, some of the bolts were loose again.

Tac Weld em! You'll never have to worry about them again.

But usually, anytime im changing fluids or after a harder offloading trip, I'll hit em with the impact real quick.

Most of the time, it's my step bars that come loose.

I figured. I never had this issue with my jeep but those were steel skid plates. I thought it might be because these are aluminum.

Missed you on Saturday!
