UPDATE: Added some night photos of the inside of the cabin. Last pic came out a bit blurry, but you get the gist.

As the title says, I finally got around to installing the @AIGMUX interior LED lights for Ashoka. A lot of things have been going on, but today, I said ok...I am going to get this done! So out into the Miami sunshine we go. At least it was somewhat overcast, so that helped a little.....Just a little.

So first things first, (I blame it on the heat) I did not take a picture of the product before I installed it! Meh, on we go. I was surprised by how these lights were constructed. Other lights of these types are made from plastic through and through. These lights were made from a steel backing plate and a steel mounting bracket. This makes them far more sturdy, and they are very solid. They have a soft blue light when illuminated, like the AIGMux rear LED light. It gives a sense of uniformity, which is a very nice touch. I cannot tell how bright they will be until it gets dark, but it seems they are the same luminous number as the rear light, which is good.

To use all four lights, I had to get creative. Because I have the Armadillo top, as well as the DV8 Cross and center MOLLE panel, installing the longer rear light in the location it was meant to be in was a bit tricky. Because of my top and the DV8 bar, just pulling the center bar off was not on the menu. Getting a wrench in there was also going to require a small miracle, and the heat index was rising. So I had to get creative. I needed to install the rear lights in a way that they would shine light, but would fit in the space. After looking and trying a few things, I think my solution will work well. I put the light on the crossbar bolt threading up inside the center cross piece. That would allow the light to show towards the rear of the BRapter through the square hole that is on the crossbar. I think this was the best solution, and I will be able to tell how much light comes through once it is darker.

Overall, I am pleased with the product. The wiring was straightforward; it runs the way most of these setups run. I would say what sets these lights apart from others is the quality of the materials. The heft with the steel plate backing makes for a very solid unit. Once mounted, they are nice and sturdy; they do not bend or shake. The soft blue light they have matches the rear light, which, again, as I said, is a nice touch.

Overall, a solid product from AIGMux.

I also installed them and they are very bright. At night it lights up the interior very well.
I like them a lot.
