Went north of Steamboat Springs, up around Hahns Peak. Tons of roads to explore up there. It was dry, dusty and ripe for a fire. There is a Stage 2 fire ban in effect, which means you can't even speak sharply for fear of ignition. We came back Sunday morning. It's about a 4 hour drive to Denver. When I got home, I saw that there were two fires that started that morning. Not where were were, farther south, but the entire are is incredibly dry. Add thousands of acres of dead tree from beetle kill and it could be a bad summer.

Today on the Big Bend the Ford Dealer tinted the front two windows and installed the OEM floor mat liners (M2DZ7813300AA) that were bundled with the purchase of the Bronco last week.

The WeatherTech Trunk Liner w/ Bumper Protector(401477SK) arrived via UPS today as well. Should help with any accidental scratches our GSD could leave climbing up the bumper was the idea.

Wish she came from the factory looking this good but that’s the fun of building/customizing yourself!

Not sure, the wife was running the errands today; it’s a dealership so surely they would be close enough to the legal limit which is 32% VLT in Alabama…

I would say for sure lighter than the factory rears though. It’s been cloudy/rainy here all day so they’re darker in the picture than in reality.

Today I switch out the ODB2 power hookup for the fuse based power setup. If I go in for a yearly inspection, nothing can be plugged into the ODB2 port or it’s an immediate fail.

The wiring was easy following the post on here the forum.

I also worked the Suparee Helm 7 lights I have installed. I broke the switch during the install so I only have low beams. And as of today I now add the DRLs. I have a new switch on the way from Suoaree. So I’ll post the final install and pics when that arrives.

Got the old GoPro mounted and powered today. Good enough for now. For reviewing, learning, and sharing trail fun. Have second winshield mount to install next behind rearview out of my line of sight. But don't want to give up power, looking into USB mirror tap, Not sure if I have auto dim power or not in 24 badlands mid package....

After looking at all the threads posted here decided to order a Starlink mini and a rear crossbar mount kit from Revolink. Not certain when the crossbar kit will arrive but the Starlink should be her by Aug 2nd. More than enough time for our trip to Montana in September.

We had thought of 3-options. 1. Sat phone had one years ago and while they work, they are too expensive. 2. Cell booster lessor of the 3 options however may or mayn’t work in Canada (have a trip planed driving the ALCAN) 3. Starlink with initial outlay of just under $800 with a monthly fee of $55 (much less that a sat phone).

I’ll update with photos as soon as we have everything installed.

Another plus for getting something is we travel through the Navajo nation a couple times a year between Tucson and Moab and there are a lot of dead zones along the way.
