I bought my first Bronco about a month ago - a 2026 Big Bend Sasquatch w/ Hard Top.
It's been great for the most part, but my biggest complaint is how spotty SiriusXM is. The connection is pretty terrible for me. Any time there's just a tad too much tree coverage on the highway, it constantly cuts in and out as it disconnects and reconnects to the satellite. It happens on every single drive, particularly on the highway, as those have lots of tall trees by me. My understanding is that because the roof come off, there wasn't really anywhere to put a shark fin antenna, and thus satellite connectivity is compromised.
Anyway, I've noticed that when connectivity gets really bad and it is unable to talk to the satellite for 10-15 seconds or so, the infotainment system will give me the option to connect to SiriusXM using WiFi. When I do that...viola! Connection is perfect! For the rest of the ride, I wont have a single connectivity issue.
However, I can only seem to find this option when connectivity is REALLY bad. Like I said, it has to drop out for a good 10-15 seconds before the option appears. If it cuts out for 5 seconds, then comes back for 10 seconds, then cuts out for another 7 second, is back for another 3, so and a so forth forever, the option will just never show up.
My car came with the Ford Connectivity Package for 7 years, so it would be great if SiriusXM could just default to a WiFi connection all the time - but no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to find an option for this in the settings menu.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Or am I forced to deal with spotty SiriusXM connectivity forever?!
