Drove my '24 BRaptor 600-odd-miles at speeds ranging from around 65 to around 85.. Got 16.95MPG (actual).. This BRaptor's MPG calculator is the most-accurate I've ever seen; it indicated 17.2MPG.. My only complaint is the higher-than-I'm-used-to windnoise, but I was highly pleased, overall.

The pure joy of just driving one makes up for the wind noise. Check seals around your windows and the top. Make sure you have all of them and make sure your door windows are seating properly after you close the door. My driver rear window sometimes will not seat properly after closing the door.

what kind of amplifier?
I KNEW someone would ask. :) It's a highend conrad-johnson Premier 140, which is a 140Watts-per-channel, stereo, vacuumtubed poweramp introduced around 20 years ago.. It uses four KT120 output tubes...

in each channel plus three small frontend tubes to reach create that power.

The 'current-version' replacement of that amp is the ART150.. It's the first poweramp that c-j designed around the more-powerful KT150 outp[ut tube.

This uses ONE pair per channel of KT150s to create 150 Watts per channel.. I don't need both amps, and I'll be comparing them with each other and also with a pair of Pass Labs XA100.8s, a 100Watts-into-8Ohms, class-A monoamp. We'll see what wins and stays.. Personally, I prefer the not-traditional styling of the '140, but the '150 looks plenty good, too.

If you're interested in things like these, PM me your e-mail address and name and I'll add you to my little audio-buddies list when I pass around my babbling.
