Hello all, I have a question regarding the 2025 Painted Top (or mod top, its from a 25 Heritage 4Dr). Does anyone know (or have resource to) how to remove the black sound deafening mat in the middle of the white interior of the hard top?

(Pic credit @FlashFlood24, we both had the same goal of attaching patches to the top)

Thanks

They should just be held on with four (or more) plastic plugs (Christmas-tree style). They should be a friction fit and can be backed out, although a clip tool will do a better job than a screwdriver as you don't want the plugs to break.

I see. I just meant like, there’s no visible fastener head on the outside of the boards so I have no clue how to approach.
I could just start prying at it but that’s a less than ideal approach

I've got a 2025 Heritage with the same style top. The deadener include four plastic plugs holding it on, and I ASSume they're Christmas Tree plugs. If you have no plugs, it's most likely taped on.

Mine was build in march so I assume might be a batch difference? I never knew there are different ones

Yea, you can probably locate an insert on the surface, get that out with one of them interior trim stud prayer thingy. Then the rest of the pad is just snapped onto the hard top near the edge, u can use those interior trim prybar thingy again.
I couldn’t really get the front two out of the hard top but I can lift it enough to do what I wanted. The middle and rear clamshell u can separate completely.
Lmk if you need more info!
