Seems like a 'now' bandaid until you find your bleeder(or a better dealer)

I don't know what power shuts off after 45 minutes but I do know it can be over ridden(overrided) so some outlets stay on.
Then the panel is just plug and play.
Or
If any of the overhead switches are always on, use that circuit.

Or since it's a bronco and its all about the offroad: secure a small one to your grill and attach directly to the battery.

Not all draws are constant. Some can be very intermittent.

Aware of that. But to claim you fixed it then you must have measured it. Can’t claim fixed just because it went away staring at car. You pull a circuit and draw goes away or not. Or if it’s not happening while testing you can’t claim fixed.

You’re just assuming they did absolutely nothing and then claimed it was fixed. Which I doubt is what happened.
I don’t think anyone would claim they fixed something after doing nothing, they would simply say they weren’t able to duplicate it.

They likely did or found something they thought was the issue and the draw went away (albeit temporarily obviously).
With it no longer able to be duplicated by the tech at the time, what would you call it?
It’s pretty reasonable to assume to the technician thought something they did fixed it.

I can agree with this to a point. I work in electronics. Either I can measure a problem and trace it. Or go off past history report/saved metrics of device and system. Then make an educated guess. But I don’t get 200/hr and just say oops. Must not have been it. Getting a little off topic.

Regardless. It’s a tough job diagnosing these new vehicles. I give good high effort techs a lot of credit.

My brother-in-law had this reoccurring problem on his 2dr '21 Badlands. His last trip to the dealer it took them a few weeks to diagnose the issue, but they concluded it was the APIM module (Accessory Protocol Interface Module - the computer brain for the Ford SYNC infotainment system) that needed to be replaced. It's only been 2 weeks since he got it back but so far so good... hopefully it fixed his issue.

you could use one of these inexpensive bluetooth battery monitors - it could help determine when the drain is happening. if it starts in the middle of the night suddenly, if it's as soon as the engine turns off, if the battery's already in bad shape, etc....

I have a 2022 Bronco Badlands with a battery drain, so I took it to the Ford dealership where I bought it, but the technician cannot pinpoint the cause. It has not even 32,000 miles on it, and most of those are just from driving to and from school. I have put 2 new batteries in it and paid almost $800 for 4 hours of service with no parts, and I am about to have to pay $600 for 3 more hours of service. The technician thought it was fixed after four hours, so I left it over the weekend to pick it up and pay, but it was still dead. I dropped it off on 07/20/2026, and today is 08/04/2026. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar situation, and I need to know whether I should get rid of it or what you all think.

Have you upgraded anything electrical?

I think that when a battery is replaced, the battery control module needs to be reset. Otherwise, it will keep thinking the battery is old and increase the draw, assuming it has naturally degraded over time. The tech is supposed to reset the module so it starts counting usage as a new battery. Could be worth investigating.
