It wasn't today, but the last several days. Installed Fox Performance 2.5 shocks with Eibach +500 lbs, 1.8" lift rear springs and +250 pound, 2.3" lift front springs, Accutune UCAs, and a Severe Duty Steering rack. It has been a tumultuous trip! Almost there, but the front coilovers need to come back out for preload adjustments. Then it's off for an alignment and a PPE aluminum transmission pan and new filter. Getting the rack out was a beeoch. Shockingly, the new one went right in once I knew the secret handshake. The biggest PITA of that rack maneuver was probably that stinking steering column linkage connection. Once I finish up, I'll post something about these Fox Performance 2.5 shocks combined with the Eibach HOSS HD lift springs.

I've only driven maybe 0.2 miles a VERY low speed to settle the suspension a little since my alignment is super fantastic way out of whack, but judging from that little spin, I think I'm gonna like 'em.

Watch @popo_patty's video below. I believe I actually needed to move the rack a little driver side, then rotated it upside down as I was simultaneously twisting and moving passenger side, then angled it back and down to pivot around the axle. Clear as mud, right! :) There was one point where it seemed stuck against the FDU, but it will go past with light to moderate force and a little wiggle magic. I had the two lower vertical FDU mount bolts removed and the horizontal mount bolt loosened up. I also had the passenger side fwd LCA bolt backed out. Rack removal was a BUGGER that took me several hours...but I got the new one in in less than 10 minutes. Lowering the FDU a little may make it all easier. My rack came with new FDU mount bolts for that.

The worst part for me was the stinking steering linkage. It was a 1/4" ratchet drive up above the rack with zero room and mostly single clicks on each torque cycle, meaning 8 BILLION cycles both for the 10mm bolt removal and reinstall! Maybe the bolt can be put in a more favorable position with very small movement of the steering wheel, but I did on want to risk getting something mis-clocked. I had zero issues getting the calibration loaded on the Procal and flashing the rack. I also have previously installed the FP tune.

Yeah, the HF 6 ton stands were a good value and had the height I needed. There are a couple of variations from different HF manufacturing sources, so research before buying. My store had both the desirable and less desirable stands on the shelf together.

Good luck!

A Valkyrie for Valhalla. I think I had those same pipes on my '99. It sounded like a racing Porsche.
Good eye, most people have no clue what it is.

I’m sure your factory lights are chugging along just fine. If mine had factory lights when I bought it used, I’m sure they would be fine too.
That’s the beauty of owning a Bronco, we can all modify it to our own tastes.

I've been working on custom brackets to fit a universal Maxtrax mount on the OEM roof rack. Once complete I'll cut off the extra threads on the Maxtrax pins. My OCD couldn't take it leaving them that way, lol.
