Okay, but...

I think we can all agree it's finally time to just have the only Broncos be a two-door and a four-door.

...the four-door is just now the truck. 😁

The current rumor/assumption is that the Ranger moves out of MAP and production is replaced by a Lincoln Bronco and the Bronco Pickup

The Tennessee Truck plant gets the Ranger, but it actually morphs into a F-100-basically a Ranger more tailored for the North American market with more body style options (two door, longer beds, etc) and Ranger Super Duty as an option. Basically it would be geared towards selling to Ford Pro customers and replaces the F-150 in some situations with commercial fleet sales on the low end.

They also could build the VW Amork pickup that is based off the Ranger also, since VW wants to sell a pickup in the states too.

I bought my Bronco because of the test drive I took between it and a Gladiator. I’ll take the Bronco truck if it drives the same as my Bronco and I’ll put an Alucab or Fourwheel Camper in it. Done.

Instead they want something that looks cool and can drive over the curb at Starbucks. I joke, but that’s really the truth.
I remember leaving the parking lot of an A&W once. Left hand turn, and I failed to realize there was an island. Boom, front axle goes over the median island. Boom, 2nd axle.

Dad says well, keep going. Boom, boat trailer goes over the median.

I almost miss that truck.

This makes sense. Mid-size market is very crowded, and Ranger really has nothing to differentiate . it. Though I admit the Ranger Raptor I saw last week looked pretty bad-ass

Taco comes with a stick shift. Frontier comes with an NA V6. Colorado/Canyon is honestly a much nicer truck (hate to say it, but it's true).

Dodge is planning on bringing back the Dakota and you know they are going to put a Hemi in it.

Other than brand loyalty, what does Ranger bring to the table?

Gotta love Mike's response to a post about the Bronco Truck 😅

If it had two doors, an extended cab, and a 6' bed then I would have been interested when I was choosing my Bronco.

The RR has best in class hp number, 405hp and with the taco a close second at 326hp for the Iforce max… also suspension and price. RR with options can be 60k (starting price 57k), while ZR2 bison and TRD pro both start in the 65k.

For most of people’s needs they would prefer a bigger engine of a V6 than a 4 banger. Which knocks out gm twins, and taco. But some options wise I think the taco is better. With cooled seats, digital mirror, ISO dynamic seats, and the manual option.

But for lower level trims I would say taco is the best. And it shows as they had the best sales number in all of Tacoma history. 200k+ units sold.
