Test drove a 2026 Badlands - do all Broncos have this much tire noise?

Guys,
I want a Bronco so bad. I've been test driving several different Badlands (non Sasquatch) and I'm not sure I can live with the tire noise on this vehicle. Do all full size 4 door Broncos make this much tire noise?

Each trim has different tires based on their intended use case.

Badlands is the most off-road capable trim, so it has more off-road oriented tires. If you get a more "daily driver" oriented trim—such as Outer Banks—it will have more road-oriented tires. If you get the Sasquatch package, you'll get rugged terrain tires, which are kind of a hybrid mud-terrain/all-terrain.

But fundamentally Bronco is an off-road vehicle shaped like a brick with a removable top, so... yes... it will be louder on the road than most other modern SUVs that you may have driven in the past.

Let's just say at 70 MPH you can't carry on a conversation and at in town speeds it's loud enough for me to wonder if I can live with it. I'd be a bit embarrassed if someone jumped into this 70,000 vehicle as I'd feel compelled to tell them it's just an off road vehicle but I'm guessing that's exactly what it is. I'd love to go play on the back roads but getting there is what worries me.

Ditto. I have a 2025 Badlands, 2DR, SAS, on the GY 35s, and I’d say at +70mph the wind noise is more noticeable than the tires. Conversations are fine. No problem with tire noise since day one, really. But, as mentioned above, if most of your time behind the wheel is going to be highway or in town, maybe Badlands is the wrong trim for you?

Badlands is the trim level, other options are Outer Banks, Base, Raptor, Heritage, Stroppe, along with some that are discontinued and new ones that are coming.

The bronco is not a quiet vehicle. Even my wife’s outer banks is not a quiet vehicle and it’s more “road friendly”. If this noise bothers you- I would not waste the money. It’s never going to be a quiet ride no matter what you do to it. I’m used to noisy vehicles so no bother here.

The culprit is really a multi-panel removable roof, which all Broncos have, even the top of the line. Compared to any non-convertible, it’s a loud vehicle.

Has the roof been off and put back poorly. We have seen one that rear window trim was missing on the corners, try a different one and compare.

You want a Toyota. You are not in any way prepared for the compromise of an old school 4x4 like the Bronco.

I wonder if the GY Territory that comes on '26 is louder. I never noticed excessive noise from the earlier KO2s, just a whole lot of wind noise.
You could try a 2-door. Less windows, less panel gaps, surely less noise?
