Not many are replacing their front FDUs, salvage yard may be the best option. Curious...are you planning to rear gear the rear end to 4.70 ratio?

Yes I would re gear.

A couple of things to note:

Not everyone has needed a new driveshaft. In fact, I think most folks can make the m190 front shaft fit - not sure exactly why some will and some won’t (i did need a new one and got to see them side by side, the difference between the two is slight)

Not uncommon to find the FDU, but the entire package you are looking for would be a bit rare.

Just for reference: A new Ford Performance FDU (in OEM ratios) is right around $2k, and CV set is around $400 — Ford Points and discounts apply. If you can’t find a takeoff, burning one of the %20 off codes (usually only applies to first $1,000) and your Ford Points may get it down to closer to your budget.

(Non-OEM ratios like 4.88/5.13/5.38 are available but may cost more)

Good points

I dunno that anyone got the FDU working with OEM hero switch. I’ve seen rear locker, but the few people who were trying with the front I think gave up and just ran it to a upfitter or some sort.

I would just run off of the upfitter switch.
