4WP Bronco Rear Bumper - Crazy Deal!

Question... I see three wires in the 4WP license-plate light extension. I needed to cut the wires so I can thread them through that small hole (as opposed to enlarging the hole or just cutting off the connector.
).
I am going to use an ohm-meter to make sure I put them together correctly (BUT)

Does anyone know why the license plate light would need three wires instead of two. Especially when the wires are all the same color.

You should have 2 holes in that storage tray thing. One small and a larger hole that has the diaphragm in it. Pop out the diaphragm and use that larger hole so you don’t need to remove your taillight plug.
This is what I did. Works perfectly.

Anyone running this bumper with a 37" spare tire? The Autoplicity listing says:

• Clears up to 35-inch spare tires

I'm currently running 37" BFG KO2 tires and am curious if anyone with this bumper installed has a 37" KO2 spare w/o issues.

This is Mickey Thompson 37" on the stock rim it is slightly bigger than a 37" BFG it fits but need a one inch spacer to clear the bumper. Once I changed to an aftermarket rim I did not need the spacer any more. I still have two spacers if you need one PM will only charge shipping.

You should have 2 holes in that storage tray thing. One small and a larger hole that has the diaphragm in it. Pop out the diaphragm and use that larger hole so you don’t need to remove your taillight plug.
This is what I did. Works perfectly.

I decided to cut the wire and use the smaller hole with a small cut in the stopper. I figured the diaphragm was in there for some purpose... although I'm not sure for what.

Did the cut, poked the wire through the hole, soldered it up, and put shrink wrap on each wire for the license plate.

Then... I ran a 3-wire outdoor wire (wrapped in 3/8 spiral cable wrap) up from the (new) backup lights in the 4WP bumper (along the frame), and am going to hook switch six to one of those 3 wires (to get the lights going). I'll save the other two wires for future use. (Basically, I decided to ignore the inside-wires that I'd have to take some of the plastic covers off for). Takes longer, but at least I'm not breaking tabs off.

Note: Wrapping and running this wire was a pain, but I decided it was better than messing with the inside wires, and removing the plastic pieces. Wire is thicker also... and I've got two more wires I can use if I need to.

The diaphragm serves no purpose with the smaller 2nd open hole next to it.
Good idea with running the other wire, your 1 step ahead of me as I need to get some rear lights for my bumper and I’ll be running a new set of wires up to the engine bay as well.

Man, that's crazy cheap. It's a decent bumper, with the exception of how the parking sensors are mounted, which also required me to get a different set of sensors as the OE ones were different than what was expected in the instructions and wouldn't fit.

If the front bumper didn't include the hoop I would've gotten that too, I'm just not a fan of the hoop.

There was someone else on here a while back who cut theirs off because they didn't like it. Looked pretty clean. I personally like it and it was one of the reasons I ordered it.

Still never figured out why autoplicity canceled my order months ago. Ended up having to get from Walmart for a few dollars more.

We're going to the Bronco Nation meet up Sept 9th in Buena Vista Colorado.​

We want a full width stinger front bumper but the camera and cruise aren't truthfully/readily/factually mentioned in most any adv, and I don't want interference.​

We're going mostly to look at front bumpers and such.​

We can't tell what's what and what's where from internet pictures.​

I'm going to hold off on the front bumper for now.​

I can build my own stinger but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone else has them in stock.​

We use a portable winch, no need for a winch mount but one won't cause me not to purchase.​

Since you won't be running a winch, the front camera should be a non issue also.
