Yeah I actually bought that kind just last week and found it wouldn't fit directly in a 2-door. The handle is thicker, brush is a bit wider, and the ice scraper is rotated 90° compared to the red and blue variants from past years.

Not solely "3d printed" but I'm glad someone had a Pod...
Someone will have to try and confirm if they'll work on a 4-door. I don't know if the design of the LATCH on those seats is any different, nor do I have access to a 4-door to test unfortunately.
Not very often but I'm at a campground this week. I'm not comfortable leaving the doors off overnight with the risk of critters making a mess of things.
Doubly so considering we have the 2-door OBX brown leather seats -- good friggen luck finding replacements if anything happens to them.
Tested again, now that I've had another chance to drive doorless.
Reattach passenger door.
Reattach driver door.
Keyfob-lock, global window up.
Keyfob-unlock, multiple times.
Keyfob in pocket, outside vehicle
Shut doors
*Honk honk 🪿*
Hate it.
The 26 will get a price increase, OBX will get nerfed again so the only powertrain option is the Duratec 2.0 mated to a DPS6, heated seats will be removed, and First Edition will return (China-exclusive)

I love how any discussion that mentions rain-sensing wipers turns into a huge...
Yes, I even tried to see what happens if I don't reattach the harness and carefully close the door -- no honk. Open the door, attach the harness, close the door, honks.
We haven't fully ruled out the possibility of ghosts and/or spirits.
I swear I'm not crazy. Dunno if mine being a 2022 2-door matters.
Unfortunately I'm stuck in an armpit of a state for the next two weeks so I can't actually demonstrate it
To be clear, I am not talking about the 'engine running, key in vehicle' double honk -- I already have that disabled.
I am specifically talking about a double-honk that occurs when the doors are removed, reattached, and the driver's door is closed.
I've tried key in the vehicle, key out of...
Came across an unintended consequence of this project today: my wife didn't notice the "Change Oil Soon" messages that were being automatically dismissed. It was down to 2% and I'm heading out of state for a month tomorrow 😬
So something to keep in mind
First time, I popped out the shift boot leather thing instead of the window switches. Access was about the same. The GOAT switch is four clips, pretty much gotta remove the console to get to all four.
Usually when the shop manual is unhelpful, I'll search eBay for spare parts to see how it...
Get smaller arms ;) Going in upside-down may help (as in, kinda face backwards and curl your hand underneath, elbow pointed towards the rear)
There's a single-action squeeze retainer in the middle towards the front, no secondary lock involved
I used a plastic trim removal tool along the side, it's held in by 4 clips, comes out pretty easily. Butter knife worked, too.
Hopefully it's all common parts I'm relying on. Like, I have no idea which module generates that 18A message I'm using to determine if the vehicle is off. Could be the...
I'll have to compare once pastebin comes back up, but thanks for this! If the folder names are any indication, I may have been on an even older 1.6 branch.
Someday I should go through *all* my car projects and update them to match the coryjfowler library.
Early on, I thought I needed two...
Not certain about the IDE, I had made the mistake of installing it through the Windows Store which meant it was a real pain to find where anything was stored. I also somehow ended up with three different libraries over the years, each using different formats.
It looks like two of my libraries...
Quick fix I guess -- five hours later and the description was already updated to " 2021-2024 Ford Bronco 2-door and 4-door models (not compatible with Bronco Sport), "
Edit: actually yeah, brand spankers -- Date First Available January 10, 2025
Ooh mine just made the cutoff, blend date 6-1-2022.
Fixed it myself in the worst possible way. Tried slipping a bicycle innertube inside the tailgate, then inflating it to keep a little pressure against the skin. We've done that for work trucks with toppers to limit buffeting on the highway...
That's actually good to know, thanks -- our 22 is at 23k and my wife just messaged me I think there is something wrong with the battery. I plugged it in and the lights don't even come on when I open the door anymore. Even our fleet manual mentions battery replacements are typically every 3...
If the vehicle battery gets too low, it'll start turning off more modules than normal to ensure it can still start back up.
Typically the first sign is the warning chimes will come through the IPC rather than the stereo speakers.
Once it enters Deep Sleep, the modem is turned off and you...
