I'm 30 years shy of you but my back is pretty wrecked, and my upper body strength fairly limited.
My trick at home is to grab a 5-gallon pail, flip it upside down, and put the tire on that. Splits the lifting in two, and at least tricks my mind into thinking the job is somewhat easier.
Not...
One and the same, just another marketing name.
Having run both these and the version without the wrap-around channel over the A-pillars, I must say I prefer these as they do a better job keeping water out.
Finally, finally, finally got this installed - I had it sitting in my garage (along with the no-name awning and RacksBrax quick-release mounts) for the better part of the year. Install went well although I had to (predictably) work around my aftermarket rain gutters and mesh bimini top a little...
Amazing build, and LOVE the trunk or treat setup - we did a JP theme with our Bronco at our daughter's school event, although I dressed as Nedry instead... :-)
I haven't tried the first as we keep getting battered by thunderstorms, but I can't see any issue why this would pose an issue.
Only golf club in these parts is my daughter's GatorGolf club, so I'm not much help on the latter point, unfortunately...
I only have the driver's side completely installed at this point, but yes - having the same issue. Oddly enough, it currently appears as if the passenger side might be better, but I'll let you know once I get the floor brackets installed.
My install hasn't been the easiest as I forgot about the...
Lucky for you, Ford already made essentially just that for the S550 Mustang EcoBoost performance Package. I added them to my '22 almost immediately after taking delivery.
Thanks. My particular (non-OE) table leaves the silly "accessory ready" trim panel nearly completely exposed, and that's a decent way beneath those rivets...so I'm guessing I'll be in good shape.
Now to decide if I need the carpet kit or the pass-through door...
To those who have this installed - can you give me a measurement as to where the closed lid contacts the tailgate when everything is closed, and how thick that lid is?
Trying to tell if this would work with my existing tailgate table (which isn't a Bronco-specific design but I made it work) and...
Man, I only have a 2.3L and honestly, I'm not seeking any additional power from the thing - BUT if I could get a flash that simply addresses the 4L sudden acceleration and the brake-over-gas issues, I'd buy in a heartbeat.
Replaced the OE Goodyears with a new set of BFG KO2s.
(Well, almost; shop forgot to order the fifth tire, so the spare is mismatched for another day or so...)
Nice video as always. Seriously contemplating pulling the trigger on these this fall, although with a 2.3L and a winch, I'm wondering if that'd require the HD springs in front or if that would essentially put me in the weight realm of the 2.7 and make the stock springs OK for my application...
Oh, I see; we're talking that little buss bar jumper between the fuse block and disconnect.
Fair point. Guess I may replace mine with copper down the road.
Uh, thanks?
I didn't remotely imply that sizing meant bad battery. It's the constant "Low Power Mode" warnings since day one of ownership that would suggest it's questionable...
Interesting thread, considering I'm contemplating replacing my battery after two years of living with "Low Power Mode On" statuses since new. Looks like I already had the bigger battery all along, since I had Aux switches from the factory...
