I've usually got a minimum of 2 oil changes on hand for anything i own at a given time. so thankfully i'm good for a bit. hopefully whatever happens corrects sooner than later.
yes you are correct. i did mean hells gate. had every intention of driving it, been offroading my whole life and that was just a nope... maybe next time lol!
I made it all the way to moab once, we did hells revenge day 1. i was going to drive it until i stood at the bottom of it. kinda went, you know, it's day 1. i'd like to enjoy the next 7. so we just watched others for a bit and carried on with the week lol!
having to be a responsible adult (sucks) i had to table my tuning of the bronco but i'll be ready to do this finally near the end of the month. between unexpected travels, and my relocating... kinda hemorrhaging money lol!
my reasoning for rolling around with starlink is 2 fold... 1, i'm frequently in areas with crap or no cell service. and 2, i'm self employed and need to keep in touch with my customer base whether i'm driving on the highway, offroading, camping, etc... my plan after i relocate here in a couple...
So I've been experimenting with different methods to mount the starlink in the bronco. I've just jammed it up above the rear cross member and the hard top, which works great unless your offroading, then it slides out some times.... and I decided I wanted a different solution.
I picked up the...
got 2 out of my OEM one, but I will say I was pretty hard on it doing extending long pulls with a winch while volunteering with an offroad recovery team. that said, the "smart alternator" on these things sucks. I see how to disable it entirely with HP tuners, but I have yet to do it.
I put in...
my engine hadn't even cooled down in November of 2022 when I brough it home from the dealer and put that in. in fact, i think my engine as auto stopped once in it's life lol!
that's good to hear because i had to pause on my buying the tuning due to an unexpected large expense. should be good to go here in a few weeks I think. adulting....LAME.
one of the times my bronco did this i had 3 USFS personnel riding with me while we drove a closed route in colorado for maintenance with a local club. they about had to change their pants LMAO!!
you sold me on it! @GooseTuned I will be in touch.
also @SierraBronco I was able to disable my 30 minute idle timeout in forscan. do i remember exactly how i did it. no... but i can leave mine run all day if i want. when i'm out stuck snowbashing, i've successfully left it run for an hour...
that's a fantastic setup! i've been quite happy with my simple BDS 2.5 kit but I know there's more to be had out of the bronco. I got it on 37s, but now I want more suspension performance.
@GooseTuned i have an MPVI2 from my previous truck so i think it's as simple as buying the credits to program the bronco. do i need to ship off the ECM to get it unlocked or can software bypass this hardware lock now? I'll be spending money with ya as soon as you say it's complete and ready to...
