Found my limit

Was checking out Wilson's creek trail and found where I wouldn't go. Of course pictures take out severity but that boulder was over 4 feet, turned around and went back the way I came

Pictures indeed tend to mute things. But like I told you in another thread, just keep doing what you’re doing and there’ll come a day when something like that won’t intimidate you. You will just slowly, precisely and carefully go right up it.

Hey, your limit is your limit, and absolute props for knowing where you draw the line.

A lot of "experts" will do things they have no business doing.

When you've got a spotter or a group, it can help you work through some obstacles without as much pressure, knowing you've got people around that can help.

Yeah having a spotter is great - having a second vehicle even better

If I’m solo I tend to be pretty cautious too, but if there’s someone to spot or pull me out when i get stuck, i get a bit more brave

Inside line. The more you drive, the more secure you’ll feel. Biggest thing is all the noise ( banging, scraping) you hear underneath you is a bit unsettling.

Nothing wrong with getting stuck, as long as you get it back out again. Kinda sucks having to leave it out on the trail though

It always amazes me how a picture can look so tame vs reality, but even so I can see your shot has some appreciable slope going on! A well trained and heeded little voice is always a welcome companion and will keep you from crossing over from bold to stupid! Keep at, build confidence, and take another look at it in 6 or 9 months.
