So, do you think the factory skids would have handled that without issue?
Maybe settle the debate about how rugged they are or are not?
LOL!!!
it has factory skids (with LOD trans skid) that have held up just fine over many Serra and other trails…the LOD skid is the only one that has needed to repaired…rock on!

Ford needs to offer a shorter wheel base 2 Dr or you just need to find a larger circumference pipe…. ;^) Great picture

It doesn’t look like it in the photo but two wheels are off the ground ( 2025 Raptor). This was at the Raptor school in Vegas. Pictures are deceiving.

I've been using my factory plates since I bought it, and have had zero issues with them.
Maybe I'll do a video later to show the scratches they've withstood, but they're great and I trust them fine. I've definitely used my sliders a lot as well, and they're awesome. Plus, the hide the pinch weld everyone hates haha

Edit: I actually took a video of my plates to check them after I went wheeling about a month ago, here's how they're holding up after years of use:

A lot of "experts" will do things they have no business doing.
As a long-time Jeeper and rock-crawler I can say this is true.. There is a very fine line between being an off-road "expert" and just being an idiot.

LOL. And there is always the "lucky" versus "good" aspect. Some can be on an incredible run of good luck. These are often the dudes with the "No Fear" stickers.

I’ve been trying to crawl under my 25 BadSas and get some good photos of *exactly* where the factory bash plates stop and start, but haven’t been able to get good images. Would be awesome if someone had pics of a Badlands underside with OEM plates up on a lift. Anyone?

Another reason to do an Off-Roadeo. You *really* get to experience the vehicle’s capability. We did things that day that I never would have attempted before. Now I know a LOT more about what’s possible. And Ford provides the Broncos (you buy insurance).

Was checking out Wilson's creek trail and found where I wouldn't go. Of course pictures take out severity but that boulder was over 4 feet, turned around and went back the way I came

I tell people, "This Bronco will do more than 99% of us are willing to do." 😆

After years wheeling Moab and related extreme trails-- knowing your weak links is just as important...the 6G is nice but I dont like those tie rods one bit. There will be a time when you got a 37" tire pinned, off camber, locked and you will NEED the steering to do steering stuff. I have zero confidence they will hold up.
