The funniest thing about reading these forums is how many times people repeat the whole "90% of all people who buy offroad vehicles don't go offroad!"
well, if that's your excuse/reasoning/coping for Ford making something less capable offroad... you do you. The mustang doesn't sell as well as...
The fanboi'ism on this board is laughable... I think I qualify as a Ford guy, owning 4 fords and 1 jeep... and to me, Ford had 1-2 things they should have gotten right if they wanted to steal market share from the wrangler.
The non negotiable one was solid front axle, available at least on...
Lol, remember the 6.7 diesel launch? Where they launched at 390hp/735tq, waited for the GM launch, then they offered a "free calibration upgrade" to make it 400/800?
Them are fighting words! lol, it's true tho... my daily driver is an 04 with 212k miles. They don't make the power to break anything, so it's as reliable as the sun :D. The 2v 4.6 does sound cool tho, especially with some chokemasters behind it :D
So we can see you can't make a logical argument without resorting to insults... while you're trying to discuss opinions. But let's dig deeper.
You realize how stupid you sound when you try to use that idiotic line of reasoning? There's no point in you going to the gym because there are...
Your stock samurai had a solid front axle... The Bronco won't do this - it was obvious when they released that offroad video and the wheel got up off the ground when going over some minor stuff...
They tried, but they compromised it's offroad capabilities in order to probably reuse the ranger parts, and placate the "it's more comfortable and handles better" crowd that acts as if wranglers and superduties just roll over every time they pull in and out of a parking lot.
My point was...
Yep... The 6R80 shifts, slow, but the 10R80 is much quicker... almost ZF 8 quick, but not quite. A stock hellcat in track mode shifts insanely hard and quick.
Same boat here. Without the SFA it's dead to me, it's just another mall crawler SUV. Don't need any of that, plenty of other independent suspension pavement bound vehicles out there.
Well, until manuals are faster than autos, manuals are slower than autos. Your pile of shit crank walking...
even in the mustang, the 2.3 and the 5.0 have different bell housings (at least in the 6R80 variants) so I'm not sure the F150 one would work... maybe the 2.7/3.5 EB trans to have the same bell pattern?
Would be so freaking cool if they went to a separate/modular bell housing like T56 I...
Makes you wonder how people just randomly happen to be waiting in the forest with their camera/phone ready to take pics of a prototype in full camo flying around catching air...
...showing that 2in of IFS travel...
Wonder how hard it would be to swap a 2.3 ecoboost into a bronco 2... Been watching ebay for 2.3 EBs, but the ranger ones with a 4x4 tranny and transfer case don't come up that often... 2wd (mustang) ones are much more common...
I have a buddy with a 78 bronco that's been sitting for at least...
I didn't use their mpg - I wasn't in the UK - i used their even weirder (even though I grew up with it) liters per 100 km to convert to our MPG. I don't think anyone in europe outside the UK uses imperial.
Europe is definitely trying to one up us by banning all fossil fuel vehicles...that...
This happens a lot with small vehicles, especially diesels. We have the worst emissions, and in order to pass them, small vehicles that work ok in other parts of the world would need to get bigger engines, not always have room for those, more protection, get heavier and so on.
I was making a...
To make an IFS travel you have to lengthen the arms... inwards or outwards. inwards you're not gonna do that very well in a 5000 lb vehicle because that diff needs to be fairly beefy - and not the size of a grapefruit like the UTV ones are.
Outwards it makes the vehicle too large to be...
One did, with wheels, tires and a skid plate as the only mods: https://www.utvsportsmag.com/press-release/maverick-sport-conquers-koh/
That's exactly what I have. except mine has insurance and registration.
The only reason it completed it is it's 64" wide weighs 1600lbs. It cannot climb...
