I have the same issue. I live is Southern California and didn't have any issues until I visited the snow. I think it has to do with kicking up salty slush or something similar. However, it happened over the course of one trip to the snow. I just plan on refinishing it when I have some time.
I guess from the OP's explanation it sounded like something different (like a programming issue) to me than just the additional torque and therefore acceleration when letting off the brake. I do agree with what you said though and might be what's going on and they just aren't used to it.
Regardless of if he should have been in 4 lo or not it still doesn't address the issue at hand which is why vehicle seems to be accelerating dramatically.
Heard back from RTR engineering and they suggested rivets as well! Hopefully that will work and I'll let them know that you came up with the idea first haha.
I just had to get the tire on for the time being, I live in an apartment complex so I was tired of just throwing the tire in the back of the cargo area.
I just heard back as I'm reading your post and they are forwarding my email to engineering as well. LMK what they say if you hear back first.
Hmm so weird, I'm thinking to myself am I just going crazy or....
I literally just removed the two screws, put the wheel on and then put the screws back on lol.
If at all possible, do you mind taking a picture of how much clearance you have between the post and wheel's hub bore?
Has anyone had an issue puttin the OEM sasquatch wheels onto the RTR spare tire post? I can't get the wheel past the two screws that mount the camera on the bottom of the post.
Yeah I just got all my parts in, I think you can adjust it to past 90 and just before it hits anything haha. I'd just caution that if you add anything (like jerry cans or recovery boards) make sure to adjust the end point again if needed.
Beautiful pups!
I'm in LA so it would be a trek. Maybe we can meet up somewhere in the middle. The wife's fam is all in the Bay Area so that would work for me!
I recently got an 8 week old Mal as well. Crazy enough, his name at the adoption center...Bronco!
It may be a little confusing for...
