  1. Stock tires in snow/ice

I live in the Colorado mountains (very different than the sierras) and I think the stock Goodyear MTs are very good in our (relatively) fluffy light snow. Nobody (besides commercial vehicles) really uses chains here. IMO, stock tires as good as any other 3PMS A/T tire. Not as good as a dedicated...
  2. Hitch extender installed - allows opening tailgate with a bike rack on

I would love a tire mounted solution so the bikes can get out of the way and ground clearance wouldn't be affected, but I would be concerned with the weight. 2 50+ pound e bikes plus the weight of the rack would be a lot of weight on the tailgate, so reinforcement would definitely be necessary...
  3. Dead battery. What’s a good aftermarket replacement battery?

If you are a costco member, I love the Interstate batteries there. Good prices and longer warranty than most. They will take it back no questions asked if it fails early.
  4. My tire blew out and it broke the fender flare and tore off my bumper cap. What are my options to replace?

Yeah thinking about it, there was something on the road (probably construction related) and it caused the body damage. Yeah I'm starting to look at take offs. Can probably get one for like 250+shipping. I would love an aftermarket bumper but for a decent one it's like $600 minimum. Dunno if I...
  5. My tire blew out and it broke the fender flare and tore off my bumper cap. What are my options to replace?

That would be fantastic. Please DM me when you figure it out. Would be happy to pay for the parts and for whatever shipping.
  6. My tire blew out and it broke the fender flare and tore off my bumper cap. What are my options to replace?

Yup. Could have been way worse. And the tire was able to be patched. The end cap is going to be tough to find everything for. There’s probably some hardware or clips that I’ll need.
  7. My tire blew out and it broke the fender flare and tore off my bumper cap. What are my options to replace?

This is really helpful! Not sure about the bumper end cap but this basically solves the fender flare problem.
  8. My tire blew out and it broke the fender flare and tore off my bumper cap. What are my options to replace?

No idea. Whatever did it fell out of the tire at some point. Probably a nail or something. It was in a heavy construction area where it happened. The hole wasn’t too large. A tire shop was able to patch it easily.
  9. My tire blew out and it broke the fender flare and tore off my bumper cap. What are my options to replace?

Maybe if I order the end cap it will come with the hardware? I ordered the tufskinz end caps and we’ll see if it works. For $30 it’s worth the risk, I think.
  10. My tire blew out and it broke the fender flare and tore off my bumper cap. What are my options to replace?

Had my rear driver side tire blow out of the freeway and it took out the bumper cap and damaged the fender flare. Bummer. I went to my ford dealer to see about replacing the parts and they told me that of course Ford doesn’t sell the bumper cap and fender flare individually. You have to buy...
  11. Is Ford really making you decide between using the built in Nav and supplying the data brokers?

You do have a cut because the services are "free" to use. Your data subsidizes the cost of providing the services
  12. WTB - Steel Rear Bumper and Sasquatch Fender Flares

Looking to purchase some takeoff items: 1. Sasquatch Fender Flare 2. Rear Steel Bumper If you are willing to part with yours, please DM me with an offer. Willing to drive almost anywhere in Summit County or on the front range for pickup.
  13. Metalcloak Game-Changer Suspension, Fox Edition for Bronco 6G

~$5k isn't really that bad for what you get, honestly. That's just what high-end shock packages cost now a days.
  14. Driving Experience in Urban Areas

I would definitely check the garage(s) and make sure there is clearance first (width and height). Bring a tape measure. If you're only going down there during the day, it seems like an outdoor lot might be better, if you can find one close to work. Last resort would be to park outside of the...
  15. Low value on used Bronco

Yeah save the money and add a hardtop aftermarket. That might actually add some value!
  16. Do I need snow tires ?

I live in the Colorado mountains and I'm actually fairly impressed with the stock Goodyears on my Sasquatch in the snow. I assumed they would be terrible but they are actually manageable, with good grip on ice and fresh snow/slush. Haven't had to upgrade to Nokkians.
  17. Low value on used Bronco

I don't think most people realize this when they buy new. Nobody looks at the depreciation as part of the cost of the car. All cars have some depreciation, but new cars are the worst. Not only do you pay for the interest on the loan, you also pay for the deprecation, which is usually far more...
  18. Low value on used Bronco

Welcome to new car ownership! Depreciation hits pretty much all new vehicles hard, but especially the bronco because there are so many on dealer lots now. The accessories are basically worthless, too. If you want closer to the blue book value, I would try to sell it privately.
  19. Synthetic Blend

I personally run full synthetic on my 2.7, but that's because I do my own oil changes and I don't really care about spending the extra $10 twice a year for the good stuff. That being said, I don't think there's really any negative consequences from using a synthetic blend in 2024.
