Thanks for the questions. I've had a busy 2025 with the rigs:
1. Never got the Accutune. It's on the list but not a priority as Kermit drives well and rock crawls exceptionally. Kermit is officially now "full time USA only""
2. Kermit is just too heavy and too narrow for really hauling through...
They can also break windows, etc. fully agreed. so not sure what you're saying. I was asked about making it so you can't just flip the the ratchets open and you can 100% prevent that.
If I have something valuable in the case, I carry the ROAM case into my hotel. But, otherwise, the ROAM is...
Hi Stromad - NO WORIES! Zero! Ha, ha, ha - as long as you do it correctly!
Just put the ratchets on the side facing the door (I've had to correct quite a few people on this!). On that side it is impossible to loosen the ratchet without opening the rear door.
People get lazy and thread the...
Calvin - I'm sure you're a nice guy but in future, you may wish to refrain from insulting people you don't know with the juvenile "M" word. It is a clear sign of disrespect and not taken lightly. I've learned an enormous amount from these forums and gave full credit when I posted my rig.. Not...
Lol. Calvin, please go troll elsewhere. This is my rig on EXO trips in Baja, and at 10800, above Bishop. They just happen to have a photog along so you might want to check yourself and your insane delusions before you ever talk about mall crawling.. You're posting about Off-Roadeo.whike we're...
This isn't me but I have the similar from Heretic Studio on Kermit (search Kermit Ultimate Build and you'll see). These are top-notch and I prefer the "orange" rather than "yellow" of most lights. Even Baja Designs is now offering "orange" on their most advanced lights. I'm running "combo"...
This is about the UCA bolt. It is a POS - basic white metal and no high quality after market solution. Ford went cheap and copied Toyota design for Bronco, Braptor and Ranger. Horrible.
Solo Motorsports have a weld solution which I have now done in Bronco and will do on Ranger Raptor. Quinn...
ROFLMAO!! Allegedly, we may have had Rory come out a few months ago and fabricate a new UCA bolt in the field (never leave home without one folks)! I had my career mentor along with us and he has seen a lot in his lifetime. He ranks Rory #1 for the guy you want to have coming to your rescue...
Good exchange. I'm just cautious on forums since not everyone is comfortable doing these kind of swaps so unless something is listed as stock and compatible I don't usually post them for others without a lot of disclaimers. My Bronco is pretty tricked with RedArc system, etc. but again, not...
LOL. Nope.
Not listed Bronco compatible in the link you sent.
Please show where Dana says they have a compatible 5.13 in stock width since you didn't call that out earlier.
If I wanted to go wider, I'd have run portals. I purposely didn't on Bronco (about to on Ranger Raptor)...
Not sure where you're getting that info from.
Dana still shows that it jumps from 4.88 to 5.38 for Bronco E-locker. I'm not saying that they haven't expanded and now offer a 5.13 but that didn't exist when I installed and it still doesn't show on The Dana website. 4.88 or 5.38 are the choices.
I'll 2nd Heretic Studio. My only complaint is that most night runs result in request that we lead since no one wants these lights behind them. We recently had to complete the White Rim after dark and they performed admirably. Plus we use them as Chase Lights mounted on TrailRax rack and 100%...
I destroyed my wire harness in high speed situation in Baja. Ford are idiots for putting the wiring harness in that location on the Bronco but they've been doing it for other models for years and were too set in their ways to realize not a good idea for Broncos.
We completely removed the wiring...
OMG! Just back from an epic week in Baja with EXO putting the pedal to the metal. Already scheming on how to get back! Best run trip I've ever been on and Baja is magical.
I'm not the smartest, but I listen to smart people. 4.88 is the recommended ratio for 37" and, I'm glad I took that advice because when I later upgraded to Dana 60 on the rear, they make that gearing. Otherwise, they jump from 4.88 to 5.29 on the rear. Agree with other posters that the Ford...
I'm not an expert in this area at this time. However, one of the tenants of my day-job is the mantra "never tell a pro how to do their job" and some very knowledgeable people told me that I should run an external antenna for highspeed off-road runs in Baja or else risk over-driving my signal...
