I have been using mine for over 8 months with no issues. When I connect the battery to my garage trickle charger, I disconnect the cable, as sometimes it acts weird. No battery drainage at all, but if you are concerned, disconnecting it is easy. Connection to the port is very secure.
I am thinking about going the same route on mine. Have you noticed any difference in mileage, ride and road noise with the Falken tires? (as compared to stock ones)
Do you notice the door rattle when there is a passenger on the seat? I have a similar rattle and it is the seat rails (recall-waiting on a fix from FORD). With a passenger it doesn't do it. Worth checking the DIY window alignment and rattle solutions on this site.
I did the same. I disconnected the clamps and connected the wires directly to the terminals. No need for cutting the wires, just tie and tuck the excess somewhere. My battery has maintained the charge after 3 years.
My dealer took care of 3 recalls on a day. In my area that is good. Still pending the fix for the passenger seat bolt/rail solution from Ford, but all is good. The reprograming of the system (I don't think any OTA updates have hit my rig for a while) deleted the rolling rocks at start up. I...
Now you need some Pledge or Old English furniture polish for detailing the interior. Get the lemon scented one, that's what I use on my faux carbon fiber. BTW, it looks really nice!
