Today I finally completed two mods that I have been sitting on for some time. First was to install a Steeda muffler and while I was at it, I took out the factor heat shield. Then today, I finally installed my DV8 replacement rear storage compartment (larger for more storage). I was also going to...
Sorry to hear you are discontinuing your exhaust axle-back muffler. I bought one and just installed it, it is a really good product and I am a super picky person. The sound is louder, but only at low idle and is pretty quite and typical freeway cruising speeds. I did add a end-piece for looks...
I bought a 2026 Badlands 4-dr non-SAS 2.3L Manual Lux package, Leather seats (special ordered it last year) in Carbon Grey w/colored roof. I love it and am very happy with my decision -> zero regrets. The manual is awesome and is pretty peppy for a 2.3L. It drives like an oversized sports car...
I am still on the fence for my 2026 Badlands whether I should swap out my Goodyear Goodyear Territory RTs to something else. Besides rocks, they seem a bit loud to me for not being MTs. Maybe it's my hearing.
In addition to these engine caps, maybe another product suggestion would be a matching or customizable engine cover for the old/new 2.3L and 2.7L similar to the JCR aluminum one. Granted it would not really offer any functionality, but it might look cool when your hood is open.
I have and it worked well for me on my 2026 4-dr Badlands. My install used parts from Amazon to build two SafeMag IQ charger ports for my and my wife's phones. They have worked very well. Here is a photo.
Yes, Chevy distributor on the back, Ford on the front.
Sadly, not sure if that many people still understand what a bend arm vs a straight arm means. Still, smart thing to do.
Not now, but I learned on a three-on-the-tree manual in an old ford van (too long ago to remember for sure). Not the coolest ride, but if you could drive one, you are good!
When I was born, they were using Preparation "B".
I have no idea what they are using now.
Old is the new young!! Yes we know how to drive manuals, we know great music (best ever) and great/silly television and cartoons. Some of us grew up hotrodding!! Experience has it's advantages
I am also California resident and I went with Cobb. I really wanted it to fit in the OEM position and retain the use/function of the shutter system. I have my CARB sticker.
The biggest factor for me is my right foot. I have a 2.3L with a manual non-SAS and if I drive it for mileage I can get pretty decent numbers (20-24), but then it's really fun to accelerate through the gears then my mileage drops like a rock (15-18).
My reasons are a) my phone mounts also charge both my phone and my wife's phone (for long trips using Waze, while listening to music, ... phone stays charged), b) while I have Android Auto and it works well, it's easier for me to access some apps on my phone (at stops, while sitting in car...
My wife and I both drive manuals and drive our Bronco which is manual. She is short and I am less short. Having memory would be nice. It exists in many, many vehicles, this is not rocket science.
I feel your pain!! I have a 2026 Badland with Lux and Leather and I find it odd that they didn't include at least two seat memory locations. Both me and my wife drive the Bronco but we are different sizes so every time we have to re-find the desired seat setup via trial and error. It's not the...
I agree! There are USB-C charge ports on the dash under the round cap. If this had a MagSafe charger with an internal USB connection to a port near the dash connection it would be slick!
I wasn't sure what motor/trans OP has. I have a 4-dr (longer tailpipe vs 2-dr) 2.3L manual and am in the process of installing the Steeda. I added an tip extension (black) that has a slight bend and plan on turning it sideways (vs down). I have watched various videos on stock vs Steeda and it's...
