I haven’t used these specifically before, but I have used OPT7 for underglow applications on multiple vehicles( I grew up in that era) and they have always held up well. Of course there may be the stray rock that could hit it but they tend to remain tough. I like the added benefit of being seen...

I got these from here somewhere, not sure who the OP was but it came in clutch.

3 wires Black/Red/Yellow. I taped the wiring loom that goes directly to the headlight for each side. Black goes to the ground( or chassis ground doesn't matter) Red to low beam, and yellow to turn signal (all through the loom for each side of the headlights )

I went with the 78" and tucked the excess in the rear fender liner. I wanted the coverage to be basically wheel to wheel. I was going to initially going to have the running lights be on with the fog lights( that way i can decide if i want them on or not) but went the simpler route and wired it...

Hey Doc, they are mounted to the outer side of the pinch welds using the 3M that comes pre-installed and behind the factory rock-sliders. if you don't have room for that due to aftermarket sliders you can use the frame rails.
