It doesn't really mount to the A-pillar, more of a support/resting point. The primary front mount utilizes the accessory mouting bolts above windshield and on the ditch light mount as you mentioned.

If you got or can find a parking pass for Carova 4x4 that is your closest bet. If you don't have the parking pass you can still drive on it. Otherwise, you'll have to head south to Oregon Inlet or beyond towards Hatteras. You'll need a permit to drive there, but you can park as well.

Foam canon doesn't get it clean, just use it more like a pre-soak to loosen things up. Then do a normal wash by hand, . definitely recommend the 2 bucket system. The electric pressure washer is nice to give a "gentle" controllable spray but obviousl required for the foam canon. I use my foam...
