  1. Thinking of Selling

Pretty disappointing that Ford won't buy back a vehicle that is almost assuredly to be a small loss, if not a slight profit after engine replacement. The dealer should take care of you with Ford backing the dealer for any loss they experience. Ford's response moreso than the engine issue itself...
  2. Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

Well deserved past reputation for sure, but these days they actually make a pretty solid vehicle and are hard to beat for the money and power train options. Unfortunately, current Ford's, including the broncos aren't exactly a beacon of reliability, despite fewer power trains. I would probably...
  3. Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

Yep, if you don't want or don't care for a removeable top and probably won't do much more than BLM/forest roads/fire trails this is a pretty nice setup. Stellantis does a great job with interiors, the mpgs are really good too. Jeep/Rams dependability has improved. My wife wasn't terribly...
  4. Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

https://www.musclecarsandtrucks.com/2022-jeep-grand-cherokee-trailhawk-4xe-raises-the-sway-bar/ The new Trailhawk is pretty neat release by jeep. Jeep says it did the Rubicon trail in all electric. Not bad specs at all for a light offroader and a 4xE electric hybrid version to boot. and even a...
  5. Wife not impressed - dream may be dead

Original poster here. Not that anyone reads follow on posts on page 3 but thought I would reply anyway. I should have noted that we aren't actively car shopping or anything. Have another year or two before we are ready to buy. We haven't test drove a four runner recently and have no doubt the...
  6. Wife not impressed - dream may be dead

On the way back from dinner tonight we pass a dealer and see an antimatter blue, big bend sasquatch! My wife actually pointed it out and asked me to stop so we can check it out and take it for a test drive. I couldn't pull over fast enough! I hunt, fish, tow and haul so a truck is a must for...
  7. Bodyguard Bumper for 2021 Bronco - front bumper with camera relocation and winch

Without a side view its hard to tell, but it looks like you may lose a considerable amount of approach angle.
  8. Fixed top Bronco could happen if Ford goes full Land Rover fighter

I would love it if they made a full size no removable top bronco on an F150 or F250 tremor platform. Put a big NA V8 it in or the new powerboost engine. Keep all the off-road goods (lockers, sway bar disco, 35s). I would much prefer that over the current configuration. Maybe add a nice panoramic...
  9. Why no ventilated seats, HUD, or other luxury items?

Actually you can get almost all of that in a base squatch for $45k. The extra $15-20k in high end broncos is mostly profit for Ford. And my Ram Power Wagon has similar off-road features and an amazing interior for about the same price as a high end Bronco.
  10. Why no ventilated seats, HUD, or other luxury items?

It's hilarious to me all those that say it can't have a nice interior because the top comes off, but rave about the 12 inch screen which is an even more likely failure/damage area from the elements. Ford saw the premium that Jeep was getting on Wranglers and built a very comparable product at...
  11. Anyone else buying another vehicle for now and keeping their order active?

Fortunately don't need a vehicle for a couple years because I think it's going to be well into 2023 if not 2024 before you can routinely walk in and pickup a hardtop squatch bronco off a lot. Definitely have my eye on what the new four runner does and am very intrigued by the gladiators as...
  12. TFL - 2021 Ford Bronco Towing Test on the Ike Gauntlet

I have an off-road teardrop about the same size so I have been waiting for this video since I will likely be buying a squatch. Would love to see the regular badlands tow as well. Bronco did really good overall. Still wish it had the better transmission. I would worry a bit if it is hot out...
  13. Brand new bronco overheated today [Updated 8/19]

So Ford sells you a new vehicle that overheats a couple days in, tells you it will be 3-4 weeks for repairs and doesn't give you a loaner? A problem or two on a first year vehicle may be expected but it sucks Ford hesitates to make it right.
  14. Brand new bronco overheated today [Updated 8/19]

If only Ford would deliver enough so there could be a data vs anecdotes.
  15. 2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road vs. Ford Bronco Badlands Youtube video

One thing readily apparent is the importance of lockers on an IFS vehicle. No way in hell I would buy a bronco without lockers. Broncos with and without lockers are basically two different vehicle types.
  16. Brand new bronco overheated today [Updated 8/19]

That really sucks. Ford has some serious issues to work through. Any info on outside temperature and use conditions? Was it working hard or just going through the paces. 4 or 6 cylinder.
  17. 2023-2024 buyer any point in ordering now?

I was aware you couldn't order a 23 or 24, but was thinking more inline with your thought process. Get in line now and try to delay if it comes available with all the delays.
  18. 2023-2024 buyer any point in ordering now?

We will be in the market for a new vehicle in late 2023 or more likely 2024. All along, our plan was to let Ford work out the kinks, have some real world on and off-road reviews and see how reliable the new Bronco proves to be. Also, wanted to see how Jeep responds, if Toyota enters the market...
  19. Stabilizer bar disconnect on other models?

No worries, I was wound up too after a long week didn't mean any offense. With your offroad experience I would love to hear your feedback once you get your bronco and try it with or without the sway bar disco. I'm a year to two out from ordering and not too impressed with the interior options so...
  20. Stabilizer bar disconnect on other models?

I think you may be getting your desert racing trophy panties I'm a wad. You yourself said "minimizes side rocking over bumps". That's exactly my point that disconnected it leads to a more comfortable offroad ride over bumps. Of course it's by allowing more side to side rocking that's the whole...
