@Amcole1984 I have the Gearshade too and a hard top. I just assumed the bungees would get in the way of the top, either occupying a hole or the plastic ball being in the way. So- that’s not an issue? Oh and my Gearshade might be a Gen1, no zippers to access the panel latches.
Has anyone successfully connected Yakima bars to the TrailRax or RCI Roof Rack? I have the 60” Yakima HD bars. I’ve looked into this in and off for over a year without any luck. Anyone find a way to connect the Yakima bars?
Yakima makes multiple tower types, e.g., with a strap, one that...
Similar issue - On occasion, and more often than I’d like, CarPlay never connects when starting the Bronco. I’ve tried connecting it in the Bronco CarPlay settings and nothing happens. Usually turning the Bronco off and restarting it, CarPlay will then connect.
Several posts discuss taking the top piece off at the struts/hinges, 2 on each side. Which I assume leaves that top roll bar bracket @Broncobro04 circled above. @STX Bronco Are you saying we could just remove the frame bolts/bracket that attaches to the top roll bar, lifting it all off...
Anyone have a pic of what the Bronco looks like with the rampage top off; the hardware that’s left? Maybe someone has a pic of that during assembly.
If my goal is to only use it for rain, I don’t want the hardware to look weird since I’ll mostly be going naked.
Can you share more pics of how the Skyrider doesn’t lay flat with TrailRax? Maybe a side / top shot? Do you also have the TrailRax side bars that connect at the windshield? About how long does that take to just install those pieces?
If only using the Rampage “top,” no back or windows, does it fully cover the seats front and back?
When using just my front and middle hard top panels, the back seat has open gaps above. I leave my mesh Bimini connected at the back and down. That might block a little rain.
It seems what it comes down to for removing just the top piece is its as fast as you can remove the screws in 4 hinges/struts, unhook the 2 straps in the back, and fold it up. Is that right? thanks!

How long to remove/reinstall “top fabric” only? Where did everyone land on timing?
I’m trying to see if it’s practical to go completely topless, keep the “top fabric” in the back and install only the top fabric when rain chances are high. Thoughts?
@Broncolli @Broncobro04 @STX Bronco...
Make sure the top 2 bolts on the rear cap are tight. This is right behind the middle panel. My hard top is on and off relatively frequently; just last week I had the same issue. I just didn’t didn’t tighten one of the bolts enough. Tightened it up and the noise went away.
4 door here for those interested. The middle panel does not fully cover the back seat. I was hoping to leave the back off, use the tonneau cover for the cargo area, and leave the Bimini mesh as a screen, but these big gaps above the seat will let in too much rain. This plan just isn’t going to...
Has anyone found a rigid cargo deck like this or know of one in the works? @Mabett?
I do not like the tailgate straps of the vinyl/canvas tonneau covers nor do I need a metal cage. A simple hard plastic cover that bolts on will do the trick.
This happened to me Monday for the 1st time in 14 month, 10,340 miles.
Turned off car.
Opened and closed door, but remained in car waiting for someone.
At one point, pressed the brake out of habit and it felt tight.
Later heard a loud clunk.
Started car, several errors fired off on the dash...
