This is big news if true! The speculation here has been that weak valves were to blame. If that isn't the case, and it is the keepers, what are the likely reasons for this?
Improper installation, poor design?
There are plenty of posts here about folks selling their used cars for way more than they paid new. Historically, that would be considered very rare, and this is a very small slice of the internet so take it with a grain of salt.
A year from now, will your Bronco sell for more than what you...
If the enjoyment is being sucked away then why not sell? The price you'll get now is probably peak right now.
The problem is, if you need to replace it right now, you'll pay through the nose for the next vehicle.
yeah, I hope I get another chance at this, it is a sweet ride.
I stumbled on this site a couple days before day 1 reservations, and got a Bronco a year later.
This time I get to wait. 🤣
Cool, so you're going for the pair? :)
I wasn't stoked about the 2.3's long term durability since it will be working pretty hard.
But it seems like right now Ford has no clue with the 2.7.
Well, thanks to this site, I got the best offer possible from Driveway. 55k for my beautiful "dirt mountain" Rapid Red Basesquatch.😭
I didn't want to keep waiting for my 2.7 to rapidly disassemble...probably should have taken my own advice and "disassembled" it myself for Ford to replace.
So I...
That sounds like lifters to me.
But like people are saying you won't know until you take it in.
My mustang 4.6L had the same noise...I thought it was lifters, and it turned out to be the belt cover had broken and was making the ticking noise.
Maybe it is regional. But there are quite a few people not seeing these inflated offers, from many different states.
Carvana ships cars nationwide, so why would they offer 20k over msrp in MA, but only 5k in CA, AL, NY etc?
Maybe they have a sucker already lined up to buy the op's rig...
