Man Iām doing something wrong! Is the MPG diff from 2dr to 4dr that much?!? On a good day on the highway Iāll see 17 at sub 70 MPH. Cityā¦ 15 tops. I just drove 400 miles towing a 6x12 enclosed trailer with a Ducati and saw 13.3 avg per the lie-o-meter on the dash.
Overall I donāt care what the...
Hereās my set up. Worked out well for the type of sound Iām looking for. There was some rattling in the door handle inside the gate but some gorilla tape to take up the gap and some poly fill did the trick. Here a pic of the amp hidden in the rear quarter as well.
I opted for the Kicker 10ā hideaway installed on the tailgate in much the same way as the stinger. I went this direction bc I personally didnāt need all the bass that a 12ā can provide plus the extra expense of another dedicated amp (although in hindsight I could have gone with single 5 or 6...
Soft top owner hereā¦ I havenāt paid much attn to the hard top threads - for obv reasons. Do the bars extending front to back from the windshield make it hard to remove the front panels? Thatās one of our fav things when the weather is good is to toss the top back.
Good to see you found a...
10ā hideaway hits harder than I figured. More than adequate bass for the occupants. Itās a good choice if youāre not looking to rattle other peopleās windows.
I have a ā21 and after 2 years still LOVE having the soft top. In FL from Nov-May itās open all the time. I have Rough Country bikini so we might get one more month before the summer sun broils us. In the heat of the summer months we never open it.
For long road trips I opted for a custom cut...
The Musway is a good choice. It has a ton of power. Itās painfully loud at 15 with no clipping. I mounted it in the rear quarter on a piece of starboard opposite the brake light. I have a 10ā kicker hideaway on the tailgate.
Same here. Musway installed. Gain about 30%. Normal listening level is now 4. Will burst your ears at 15. However, regardless of volume on the HU the welcome āchimeā is 5x louder than it was pre-install, as is the parking sensor tones. No Forscan mods yet. DC power sensing on amp.
As many have said here already, rely on the data and remove the emotion and sentiment towards the truck. Itās just a truck (yes, easier said than done). Assuming a fair payout that gets you into a similar rig with minimal out of pocket, do it. When you go to sell down the road that salvage...
Hey Joe. Thereās maybe 3 ft coiled bc I ran the signal down the passenger side. What I ran short on was power wire running down the driver side. I crossed over behind the rear seats and didnāt have enough to make it to the amp. Thatās why you see the fuse block in that pic. I chose to use a fuse...
I contemplated that location but decided against it. We donāt have carpet and get the floor pretty wet sometimes. I put mine in the back passenger side behind the panel.
I run the Musway and it would most likely need another harness running to the amp, not too difficult. Also, if you've installed the Key under the steering wheel like most have you'll need to relocate it. It's too big for that plate. I installed mine in the rear passenger side behind the panel.
After speaking with Joe @ PnP Kits I went with this config (mostly). I was already going with the KS all around and planned on going with the Key200.4 due to popularity and brand recognition. However, 50w RMS isn't a lot of power. I've installed HU's with more power than that. So I opted to go...
Dunno how you guys are getting close to 20, WTH am I doing wrong?!? No matter city or hwy I get 16-17. Just completed a 800 mi trip from south FL to south GA and computer said 17 avg for the trip. I kept it at 75 mph 90% of the time except for passing.
4dr SAS BL 2.7 with 87 since I bought it. š¤·āāļø
