  1. Spicer Driveshaft initial impression and long term review.

Here are pictures from a couple of the failures at the tcase side. No vibration, noises or signs when it lets loose. One pic is of a bolt the dealership snapped off during replacement #2.
  2. Spicer Driveshaft initial impression and long term review.

Oh Ford service did question me about if it was modified. I had skids on the rear shock mounts and they asked about it because the suspension bolts had to be loosened. Showed marks that that kept bringing up. They even asked why I needed all those skid plates.
  3. Spicer Driveshaft initial impression and long term review.

No modifications to the suspension. Plenty of other mods that I would imagine just add weight - fulls skids, metal rear bumper... Stock 2dr Sasquatch Base in terms of suspension. Well swaybar disconnect but that doesn't effect the height.
  4. Spicer Driveshaft initial impression and long term review.

Interesting that your angle with a 2 inch lift is almost identical to my 2dr Sasquatch. No lift 14 degrees when I just measured sitting level in the garage.
  5. Spicer Driveshaft initial impression and long term review.

I have one Ford shaft from the last boot failure. The rest the dealer took. I was keeping it just in case the Spicer one fails so I can put the Ford one back on then get a 5th replacement from the dealer. I didn't lift so mine keep getting replaced under warranty. I am just really tired of...
  6. Spicer Driveshaft initial impression and long term review.

I'm on my 4th rear driveshaft (2dr sas no additional lift). I purchased the spicer shaft about 400 miles ago because the Ford ones bust the tcase side cv boot. Not building confidence the spicer shaft will last any better. Seems like every time I go to Moab it comes back with the rubber tcase...
  7. How to protect your windshield? ExoShield DIY + Forum member promo code

I finally got around to installing the Exoshield Ultra on my Bronco. Pretty straight forward if you follow the install instructions/vids. Make sure you take note regarding the squeegee technique. You need to use a good amount of pressure. I was used to PPF and you have to use more force on...
  8. Spicer Performance Rear Driveshaft installed on my Bronco

Did you install it yet? Notes from the install. Any driveline vibration at high speed?
  9. Spicer Performance Rear Driveshaft installed on my Bronco

I'm not sure it matters. I ordered from BB and it drop shipped from Spicer. I'd look for the best price because at least in my case BB was just facilitating the sale. I didn't see it on Toms when I ordered.
  10. Spicer Performance Rear Driveshaft installed on my Bronco

AWD usually means you have 4Auto ("advanced" or whatever in the Ford speak). 4x4 standard tcase has no 4A. The AWD tcase is slightly longer so the driveshaft is shorter. Spicer specs: https://spicerparts.com/parts/driveshaft/performance/ford-bronco
  11. Spicer Performance Rear Driveshaft installed on my Bronco

On my third rear driveshaft. No lift (stock Sasquatch). CV by the tcase is always what lets loose on my 2dr. I am watching this thread to see if the Spicer shaft holds up better.
  12. Plastic Bumper Reverse Light Mod (Tech Notes)

I actually did both. Reverse on my trailer wiring to the bumper light. And I wired up an AUX switch. Which also turns on my backup lights (bumper+ taillights).
  13. RCI Offroad Introduction

Glad to see RCI here. I've used their skids on my Tundra after crushing the stock skids. Like the RCI products. I would be interested in engine/front (not a fan of the hole under the front diff on the Ford skid), transmission and transfer skids for the 2 door.
  14. Plastic Bumper Reverse Light Mod (Tech Notes)

I decided the blank space on the stock plastic Bumper needed filling. Installed a passenger side reverse light. I had a couple of notes from the install. There is reinforcement inside the bumper that must be dealt with if your light has any depth. Use a shallow light or you have to melt or...
  15. RC Hood Struts installed

I saw "additional sound deadening" as part of the 333a high package. Likely comes standard on First Edition.
  16. RC Hood Struts installed

I decided against redline because I didn't like the hood bracket. Seems like the RC bracket spreads the load out more. With an aluminum hood I felt like going with a larger surface area. Personal preference.
  17. RC Hood Struts installed

Good point. Keep the tab centered in the hole or at least away from the edges. I used the visegrips as I tighten things up that way the tab didn't end up against the paint.
  18. RC Hood Struts installed

Installed the Rough Country hood struts today. Pretty good fit and finish for the price. Install took like 30 mins. Everything went smoothly except the FedEx box was destroyed but the parts all seemed to be there. Hood operates smoothly after a few cycles. One tip is to use visegrips to hold...
