Yep, I'm going with ring and pinion....know that sound all too well.....
These are from my last truck (non Bronco), front and rear in one trip.
37's W/ D44 & D60. The rear was a reverse cut Dynatrac ProRock 60, so that didn't help matters any.
Fixed it with a shaved 14-bolt rear, D60 front...
I've ran countless A/T's and M/T's over the years.
Currently running Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's on my Titan XD and Tacoma, and when the time comes to get new tires, our Bronco will be running the same.
I used an Amazon electric hoist for ours, lifts the top off the Bronco and provides storage for us. Total cost was around $150.
We use a similar set up to the OP for our kayaks and Mtn. bikes next to the soft top.
Do the non-SAS BL's come with auto way bar disconnect?
We're planning on running mild trails in stock form and hope to avoid any warranty arguments, so a SAS package is a good option us. If we had to do it over we'd order the SAS package again.
Sure you can get it close for less money, but...
For such a relatively heavy vehicle I wouldn't go under 20 psi.
I never went below 20 psi on any trail with my old Tundra, which weighed around 6,500 lbs and was running Trail Ready bead lock wheels.
I agree with some above and would start at 25 psi if it were me.
In all my years of off-roading the only thing I've seen any differential skid plate good for is getting hung up on stuff.
A differential is very substantial and can take a ton of abuse.
But they are great for decreasing ground clearance and making your wallet lose weight.....
Receive our new JTops Bimini yesterday.
While I waited for the velcro to cure I decided to cut the top up and have it modified a little. Since we prefer to run open air in the Spring & Fall I didn't want to have to keep removing the soft top latch brackets every time we wanted to remove the...
Dry weight is a pretty useless number.
Look at the GVWR of the trailer and take 12.5% of that as a realistic loaded tongue weight, which in turn will likely put you over the available payload of your Bronco and over the max tongue weight of your hitch.
Our first 17' Jayco had a GVWR of 3,750...
I went back and added the same protectors for the two bolts holding my custom transmission pan.
I used flat socket head bolts on my Tundra skids and they ended up being a PITA to deal with after several rock massages.....
I’ve never encountered an RTI ramp on a trail, so I’ve never really worried about them, didn’t even bother putting my Tundra on one. From what I’ve experienced, articulation has never really held anyone back, especially if they had lockers. Now with open diffs having a wheel in the air can be...
Well....after measuring a couple of times, we went to drop the top all the way back yesterday and one of the bows on the soft top was hitting the fire extinguisher and preventing the top from going all the way back 🤦‍♂️.
So I ordered a new aluminum quick release mount off Amazon and mounted the...
