Am I the last one off the mountain? ๐ญ I just picked up my Black Diamond today after it sat at the railyard for 3 months!
It turned out Ford lost the keys to the truck and that's why it sat for so long. Nobody looked into it to find that problem until we were two months into this despite my...
Well, Ford and the dealership have known it's been at the railyard since it arrived. I haven't visited the railyard personally, I might go take a look. My EDD has just been getting pushed back week to week to week. Ford customer service put in an inquiry to logistics that was supposed take 1-3...
Next week will be Week #8 of my Bronco sitting on the railyard 15 minutes away from me and the dealership. Ford knows nothing. The dealership knows nothing.
Mine was built in January and stuck on Ice Mountain forever. It's currently sitting at the railyard ten miles away from my home, it's been there for two weeks now. 4dr Black Diamond, manual, only option was wireless keypad.
This Bronco is absolutely cursed, two weeks sitting at the railyard and the EDD pushed to 8/8-8/14. Looking like three weeks at least now. My Maverick hit all estimated dates, no problems! Ice Mountain Broncos must be at the bottom of the priority list or something.
It's gonna be tough giving up this little hybrid Maverick I took delivery of two weeks ago! ๐ญ I took it on 2000 mile road trip out to Shenandoah National Park and it eats up the miles while still being comfortable. I think Ford hit a homerun with it. The practicality and mpg are just unmatched...
Well, my Bronco has been sitting in the railyard less than 10 miles from me for a few days now (please don't turn into weeks ๐ค). I'm almost across the finish line!
Bronco still in built purgatory but I did take delivery of a hybrid Maverick I ordered in July '21 before I decided I liked the Bronco more. I love this little truck, it eats up the miles! I took it on 900 mile road trip to Shenandoah National Park. The market is insanely hot for Mavericks so...
Looks like my hybrid Maverick order is going to beat my Bronco! Ordered 7/19/21, In Production 5/16/22, Built 5/24, Shipped 5/26. Process went smooth as silk!
I just spoke with chat, it appears my built email from last week is BS. My Bronco is supposedly "built" and awaiting shipment but also has a "secondary hold-Plant". ETA July 26th. So it's simultaneously built and on hold.
No, I didn't get pushed out. I'm saying if I never got that built e-mail.
If I were still stuck in production and had my EDD pushed again, I'd probably be out.
If I didn't get my built e-mail last Friday and then got the pushed out EDD this week, I'd likely be out.
I was checking out a new Nissan Frontier PRO-4X. The killer thing about the PRO-4X is you can essentially get it loaded for about the same price as my manual 4dr Black Diamond which has...
I've been eyeballing lightly used Ram Rebels and the spec I'm most interested in is around the same price as my new Black Diamond Bronco. I'm currently driving a Focus ST and I want something that I can get on some trails with this summer.
Colorado ZR2 and Ranger Tremor are also in the running.
That's why I'm sticking it out with the Bronco too. Wrangler interior being small and you get so much less compared to the Bronco. There's not really a Black Diamond equivalent. I like 4Runners but the top don't go down and there's a new model out next year. I'm stuck with Ford's BS but it is...
First day in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, would have been nice to have the Bronco!
I did see two out here so far, one looked like a Big Bend and the other was some kind of Squatch.
I got two emails! One for the hybrid Maverick and one for the Bronco!
Funny thing is I told my dealer I wouldn't be taking delivery of the Maverick back when I placed the order for the Bronco. Good to see I'd still be screwed either way I guess ๐
