Probably been stated but I wouldn't expect a manufacturing error. More likely, since it is used that I be suspicious of it being a stolen vehicle and that vin was too obvious and difficult to change so they pulled it.
There should be vin in other locations though I am not sure where...
I hate to say this, but this whole ordering process, especially with the model year roll overs and trying to preserve price protection has been full of pot holes. There were very specific deadlines in the fall every year and required actions or they would do things by default. In some cases...
Another reason to dislike the headlights. The other day I could see some barely visible flicker. I am more sensitive to flicker than most. It went away with lights getting slightly brighter while I was investigating. Now it seems obvious that LED lights aren't going to do well at keeping...
Since I originally posted this, my one Bronco that wasn't exhibiting this started to do so when cold but not as bad as the first. The one I wrote about initially started to do it less. So both about the same now just sort of between the extremes.
My dealer has told me this is normal as well as...
The fancy transponder type keys make it easier. Not just clicking a FOB button. The perps walk around the house with an antenna seeking to get it close enough to the transponder key which often people keep near the door and rely the signal between the transponder key and the car to make the...
A bronco II for sure, I don't recall the full size having rear windows that came up like that.
For the year it would be between 1984 and 1988 as the 89 and 90 had different front with the headlight cluster wrapping around the corner so the yell front turn signal/running light was visible from...
My first thought is that the "winter" tires had a similar tread pattern/coarseness/aggressiveness as the M+S tires I consider all season road tires I've been running for years. Ones I consider okay in the snow but I run more aggressive on my primary snow vehicle. My bronco's still have the...
Badlands and Wildtrack comes with heavy duty modular bumper which is premium on other trims. Modular bumper does not have fog lights option. On my Black Diamond I got the modular bumper rather than the capable bumper, capable has fog lights but modular doesn't so I didn't get fog lights. To...
When it started rolling back did you let off the clutch to to get the engine to hold? I can hear gear spinning whine sound which may just be because in four low. The 2.3L is so little displacement that it is fairly weak as far as engine braking goes so maybe the whine was the engine.
It is a quirk of them being garaged in different states, my relative time at each location, and having a work vehicle to use where I have the bronco in question garaged.
I won't dismiss the chance I forgot t reset it. And you are right that if I went to the dealer they would just reset it and do nothing else.
In any case it is too late, I changed the oil and reset it.
Even with the low miles I did drive it regularly, just fairly short distance s that may be a role. Anyway I changed the oil, reset it and we'll see what happens over the coming months.
This is the red brooch in my profile pic and that was delivered in September 22. Low miles because of weekend driving and mostly local. It does seem unusual. If I forgot to reset, well I am just a bit over a year and maybe it is a year not 6 months. I am pretty sure I reset it but maybe...
I think you are correct. If I forgot to reset, maybe because it had reached a year it decided it was needed. Or maybe 6 months it says needed, but that seems inconsistent with the supposed 10K mile interval unless they assume 20K+ miles a year which isn't typical.
I drive it regularly, but it is mostly on the weekends and not long distance. The two broncos I have are garaged in different states about 1700 miles apart. The one in question I am around regularly but as I said I tend to only drive it on the weekends. Maybe I forgot to reset but I seem to...
