  1. On Demand vs Full Time Auto 4x4 - what difference ?

The "Auto" mode of 4wd on the Bronco is basically simulating what AWD cars have (front is engaged if slip is detected). The regular 4hi/4lo selectors lock it into 4WD mode. You'd probably leave it in "Auto" for most driving but select the appropriate 4wd mode when on a trail.
  2. Where did your B&P pricing land?

The winch itself is maybe $500 -$700 depending on which model it is. The 'mount' looks like an attachment to the stock bumper, not a full bumper replacement. (an entire plate steel bumper can be had for less than $1500 for common offroaders) The price tag on fords B&P is at least $1000 too...
  3. Anyone Now on the Bronco Fence or Totally Off It Now that the B&P is Out?

I'm going to hold off deciding for sure until the work out the bugs in the site. However, based on the cost of the winch+mount and tow package, no synthetic winch line option, lack of roof rails/sound deadening on Sasquatch. no onboard air solution and the hard top roof situation I may cancel...
  4. Where did your B&P pricing land?

Without adding a winch+mount (that is waaay over priced) a bit over $57k. (though I think the price is wrong, some things did not display a price and probably should have) I'm disappointed in the winch cost and lack of synthetic line option as well as no onboard air. As it stands I probably...
  5. Rock rails usable as jack hardpoint?

If they are proper rock rails (that can handle landing on rocks etc) they should be fine since that impact is far more than would be applied by a jack. If they are fake rock rails that cant take a hit then I wouldnt do it.
  6. How come we haven't seen a snorkel yet??

The thing will float before you get into water deep enough to need a snorkel. I'm sure someone will make one but it seems excessive.
  7. First SUV will be a Bronco. What should I know?

If you have a garage, or go into parking structures make sure you know the height. Also, train yourself to never swerve to avoid things, especially at higher speeds. Use the brakes and steer gently instead.
  8. Spiders if I always leave the top off?

Replace the interior panels with cedar? :))
  9. Help Request. Driver Side Headroom

I had the Escape (same chassis) w/ sunroof and am ~6'1" and had plenty of room. The Sport looks a bit boxier so it might actually have more room than the Escape did. The #'s should be listed for headroom someplace on the ford site, maybe see what is listed there compared to the similar vehicle?
  10. What Tow Rating do Want/Need?

Tow ratings tend to be very conservative in the US (identical cars over in EU/UK often are rated higher) but it does seem odd the 4door has a low rating. Longer wheelbase usually means higher tow rating. The bronco is probably limited by its suspension for some reason since the rest of it...
  11. Official Area 51 vs Antimatter Blue Ford Bronco Paint Color Samples - inside, sun, shade

Antimatter blue seems so dark that it will show every pinstripe from the trails. Area 51 is still my preference of the two though if Velocity blue was available from the start of ordering that might be a good option.
  12. Is the new Bronco a "classless" vehicle?

I wouldnt say Jeeps are really "Classless".. I definitely 'judge' them if they are going around on street tires (or pretty much any suv that isnt 4x4 for that matter).. like what possible use is a car like that if you dont take it offroad? Also, you can tell if they are an expensive one...
  13. Arm Out the Window - How Does it Score?

Could be a short person (or short torso) and/or the seat height is set low. Unfortunately it really needs to be seen in person to see how it fits. It may be too high for average height people but it seems a lot of vehicles are like that these days.
  14. Muscle Car Owners Poll

I had a 2010 Camaro SS years ago but no muscle/sports car since then. Once I moved back to CO the roads were just too rough to enjoy them. Not to mention them not being very useful in the winter.
  15. Park Brake - Which type would you prefer? Foot Pedal, Hand Leaver or Electronic

I suppose if it is just for parking it doesnt matter as long as it does what it is supposed to. I'd rather have the lever in the center console though. Electronic style are hard to use in an emergency and the pedal kind get in the way of where I put my feet (there's already not enough room...
  16. jtzako

    Colorado Bronco Club

Denver area. Mostly wheel in the Nederland/Rollinsville/Bunce areas.
  17. Understanding the Bronco buyer landscape (Part II): 2 door vs. 4 door

Camp sites suitable for a tent are not always available. Its also weather dependent, if if its pouring rain when I need to set up camp I'll just sleep in the vehicle. That is a less important feature for me than the ride quality and rear seat access though.
  18. Sasquatch Suspension Limiter

Not as much as the extra inch of height from the tire size.
  19. Understanding the Bronco buyer landscape (Part II): 2 door vs. 4 door

For me, only 4door will do. I dont like the choppy ride of short wheelbase vehicles, I want easy access to the rear seats, and I want a vehicle that is long enough for me to sleep in the back if I want to.
  20. “Advanced” transfer case — center differential?

Ford wouldnt do that unless they want a lot of warranty repairs on the front diff and t-case. More than likely it has clutches in the center diff that allow slippage similar to the way many AWD cars do it. (and some recent 4x4 too like the new Defender do that as well) It would lock together...
