I have a 22 wildtrak and would have to say that I beg to differ on yhe need for catch cans. This is a picture from the ccv side as I haven't checked the pcv side yet after only 2500 miles.
So I pulled mine off to make sure I wasn't an idiot (which is usually the case) and found this after about 2500 miles. I guess it goes to show they do work on the 2.7L if anyone is questioning whether to use them or not. Oh and I am an idiot as they do have a drain plug in the bottom and I just...
If you are anywhere near Newcastle, DE looks like Mishimoto would like a vehicle for R&D. Could be beneficial? Looks like they may be having an issue with the 23 models. Hopefully Ford will release the computer so the aftermarket programmers can fix this issue as well as open up the parameters...
Have you checked to make sure your cans are tight? I know when I installed mine the cans were loose from Mishimoto? Just hoping this might solve the problem? Good luck!
Thanks for the link! I ended up just getting the UPR fittings and will reuse the stock hose and will be able to remove and replace it anytime. It looks like the one that you send might be a little different than the stock line as it looks like it has a connector in the middle of the line?
I have the Mishimoto dual catch can on my 2.7 and only have about 300'ish miles on it with the catch cans. I will say that if you are installing it yourself prepare for som frustration on the CCV side. Ford uses a non reusable line on this side and is a total pain in the behind. Once you finally...
Thank you for the chime in John.
This is just me, but I have been a fan of your products for my diesel platform and happy that you are going towards the bronco market. Hopefully you can figure out the CEL issue as I really do love the fitment, quality, and look of your product.
Sorry to hear that you had that issue. I fortunately have not had any problems with my double catch can setup from Mishimoto. I have about 300 miles on it since I have installed it so hopefully it won't come on? I have a 22 wildtrack 4door with the 2.7L.
Look up in this thread. Broncolv posted some links to fittings that I also puchased to re-use the "old" ccv line and you simply replace the fittings. This way if you ever need you can put the the line back on and off again without those one use style fitting that you had to break to get off in...
I have full retractable top that I am not going to use that I ordered with my 2022 wildtrack 4 door. If your anywhere near oregon let me know. You can have other for what I paid.
Yah I am definitely looking for one of those lines for sure. You get on the ford site and the pcv line is super easy to find but having issues finding the ccv line. If anyone has a link to one of those that would be super helpful. 🙂
Once I got that line off it was pretty straight forward and went easy after that. Took about 2 hours messing with that line and finally telling myself your not going to re-use it so let's just get it off.
