  1. K&N Replacement Air Filter

That's good info.. I was considering getting an s&b in a few more thousand miles... I guess I can trash that idea. Bummer.
  2. K&N Replacement Air Filter

More filter area is another way to let more air in. S&b (I believe) has a paper filter that appears like stock BUT the front of the 'cone' is recessed with more media. That will allow more flow while retaining factory levels of filtration.
  3. Explain traction control please

Traction control is.. electrical cock blocking.
  4. Debating on 2.3 vs 2.7 engine?

2.3 ftw. More than enough power.. even with 35s and 3.73s.. good gas mileage.. sounds decent.. ..and no worries about stupid ford v-motor cam phasers 🙄
  5. Decisions Decisions

We're supposed to use 4wd in rain now? Take the bronco.
  6. Recent Resale Value

Fluke doesn't even begin to describe the past few years lol.. Guy I know bought a 2010 ranger brand new.. 4cyl, auto, reg cab.. paid 13k. height of covid he unloaded it to one of the online dealers for 12,700 with over 100k on it lol. Not bad.
  7. If anyone is looking to give your money to 4x4TruckLEDs.com

... is my sarcasm meter broken? A few weeks ago they tried selling some guy 700$ worth of foglights for his wife's bronco after the guy explicitly stated he didnt need anything bourgeois because the lights were going to serve as nothing but a fashion statement for his ol lady 🙄 Their level of...
  8. ADV Production Modular Hardtop!

Not demanding a refund by this point is pretty close to the same thing as staying in an abusive relationship. you deserve better.
  9. My 'Un-wheelable' Bronco (35"s, 3.73's, no lockers)

I've seen some scary videos about the free-for-all dune running like you talk about.. Definitely seems sketchy. The last thing I want to deal with while out for the day trying to enjoy myself is worrying about other people's actions and their potential consequences.. that right there is a huge...
  10. Gobblers Knob

Sounds like a good location for a first date 🙂
  11. My 'Un-wheelable' Bronco (35"s, 3.73's, no lockers)

Nice rig! Dune running with 35s and 3.73s might be a bit taxing.. depending how fast you like/need to go. I'm not fortunate enough to have any beach/dune wheeling locations where I am sadly.. it's all slower speed type offroading up here so I'm usually in low range all day with no worries...
  12. 2.3 Bronco Engine fire 😭

I opted to have the diffs/tcase changed at 20k because I have no faith in ford's reccomended intervals being sufficient for long term health. Planned to do the trans at 50k. Ford both engineers it's vehicles and decides on its reccomended service intervals with the goal of 95% of its vehicles...
  13. 2.3 Bronco Engine fire 😭

The 20k service on my Ranger consisted of dumping/refilling diffs & tcase, oil change, and cabin filter and it only ran me 320$ or so.. Wot in tarnation did they perform for you to rack up 800$?
  14. My 'Un-wheelable' Bronco (35"s, 3.73's, no lockers)

Yeah.. super careful on freshly graded roads, stick to the middle of the road whenever possible even on roads that havnt been freshly graded, and watch out for logging trucks! They haul ass and always have the right-of-way. The majority of the state is a working forest, technically private...
  15. My 'Un-wheelable' Bronco (35"s, 3.73's, no lockers)

..Under 5k including pads and a fancy carbon fiber helmet... and DEFINITELY dont need a locker with this rig.. I now feel a fool with the bronco 😣 all that money down the drain 😣 😋
  16. My 'Un-wheelable' Bronco (35"s, 3.73's, no lockers)

I'm a (mild) proponent of going slightly overkill when it comes to tire thickness. Dealing with a flat while on a 4x4 trail or otherwise deep in the woods while it's biting-fly season.. which is pretty much half the year up here.. is absolute misery. The north maine woods is 95% dirt roads, and...
  17. Armor Ditch ORV park Ossipee NH?

You have a good time? Good selection of varying terrain/difficulty?
  18. My 'Un-wheelable' Bronco (35"s, 3.73's, no lockers)

Oh of course, vehicles have always been used as a bit of a fashion statement & a status symbol.. I just think it's silly how far some people go with it. Especially nowadays.. how many people are out there that have a one ton diesel truck when a Tacoma would serve them just as well? Or folks with...
  19. My 'Un-wheelable' Bronco (35"s, 3.73's, no lockers)

That's the spirit! My first wheeling experience was immideately after I got my first car.. 96 corolla.. tore the front bumper off it on an old logging track behind my house.. making me 20 minutes late for the first day of my first job 😆 good times!
