We went off-roading in the Big Frog Wilderness area in southeast Tennessee. This is near the Ocoee River in Polk County. We basically drove Forest Service Road 221 over Big Frog Mountain, then stopped at Tumbling Creek campground to cook. We cooked steaks and potatoes out of the back of the...
IMO, since you asked, before I thought about it, I added a K&N filter by mine. However, since I offroad in dusty conditions, it occurred to me that the dust might get into the engine easier vs. a stock filter. Sure enough, after some research the consensus is that K&N filters do perform better...
Ha! Well, I clicked on it and sure enough they have them for the Bronco, but it should have said that at the start for sure. I always correct folks when they refer to NightHorse as a "Jeep"... not that I dislike Jeeps or anything.
I completely covered everything in the rear cargo area under the panels with Dynamat. As noted above, as long as you put it to fit and don't place the sound deadener too close to the clips and mounting points, it fits fine.
I'd say it made a very noticeable difference because it eliminated all...
My thought is to ask how you have the harness wired. I'm not suggesting this is your case, but I spoke to someone once who thought the AUX wires were the power source and figured that if the positive harness wire was attached to that, then it would work. It's a reasonable thought if you have...
For guests, that seems accurate, but according to the website regarding registered Broncos in the field, it also reads...
"YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET YOUR BRONCO IN OR OUT AFTER HOURS!
LOCK DOWN -The event will close to all in and out traffic during the hours posted each day. You can leave...
I might go. It's only a 90 minute drive, but as someone asked, I wanted to make sure I was not required to pay $100. I also read that if you're staying in the field, you can't leave at night. My job requires that sometimes I may have to leave places like that at anytime, so I wouldn't want to...
On a related note, I also use Armor All Tire Foam for the fender liners / wheel well. It's the only product that removes the red clay stain that appears after every outing even after pressure washing. I spray on the foam and let it sit overnight. Next morning, the liners looks nearly brand new...
We bought Night Horse in November and have been grazing the trails in Cohutta and the Ocoee area in N. Georgia and E. Tennessee. We have a lot of plans for the coming months.
Same here... the 10A fuse.
I noticed some mild arc marks on one fuse base and the fuse link itself was clearly blown. So, what ever caused it, the fuse did its job. Replaced the fuse and all is well again.
I appreciate that. Great advice and exactly why (after I did more research) we decided that for now we would just add a tie rod kit so that if we do break one, we can change it out on the trail. Now, if that happens, then yes, I will look at upgrading the bushings along with the tie rods.
We became Bronco owners on November 24th. It's also the first Ford we have owned. When we saw it, we decided to name it Night Horse. The reason is because at night, the Hot Pepper Red literally disappears into the darkness. Night Horse is a used vehicle with highway miles and has the Badlands /...
