Another option is on the passenger side. JCR sells a bracket for mounting an air compressor. I used it for mounting the solenoid of my winch there, lots of vertical room. You could also look at winch solenoid relocation brackets and just modify them to fit this. I know someone makes one that...
I built one and mounted it to the stock fuse box lid with enough slack to still open it (and quick disconnects to fully remove if necessary)
But that area might not give you enough clearance. There is an empty pocket between this and the side panel you could fit it in. The other option is the...
It’s fairly light weight, I think it’d be fine against a deer but I wouldn’t trust it against an elk or moose. Had a friend destroy the front end of his Tacoma last year hitting an elk up where I live. If you’re really concerned, totally go with something more beefier than the Westin brush...
I have two Baja LP6s and 4 Baja squadron sports. They’re wired to quick disconnects that are ziptied right next to the factory wiring harness disconnect so if I need to pull the brush guard or drop the bumper, it’s really easy.
I’ve found that the street legal fog lights they sell are really...
I have a rear mounted awning that’s 4ft wide but I almost never use it because it takes like 10 minutes to setup. I’ve been eying the kammok awning that just pulls straight out and deploys in like 5 seconds but it’s 5 ft wide and I’m wondering if the extra 6 inches sticking out on each side...
That’s a kingpin light. I mounted one on the window that you see, and another on the cross bar of the ceiling in the trunk, all wired to a switch and then to an always on fuse under the steering wheel.
I’d get another set of yellow fog lights that aren’t street legal. The ones you have wired are probably the SAE approved ones which in my experience were kinda useless last time I drove though a blizzard. I’d rather get a ticket for offroad light use on the street than not being able to see more...
I keep 3 packages of mountain house camp food and a jet boil stove in my truck and some water. I have a full drawer setup in my trunk for storing everything. In addition, I have a spare set of clothes, some jackets and a blanket on top of the sleeping bag in my rooftop tent, add in a garmin...
Hasn’t happened to me yet but I was thinking of replacing my roof with the Anderson composites if it does. Problem is it’s like $7k and that’s just crazy expensive
I have 2 Baja s2 pros in amber with the side cornering beam pattern on the back that I’m super happy with. If you get the braided split loom, you can feed your wires in and it sandwiches very nicely between the L-bend and the cross bars of the trailrax for wire management. I have a heretic 40...
I always thought the stock rubber mats were good until I bought Tuxmat. Those things are awesome, just vacuum up the dirt and then use interior detailer on them and they look completely new
Mine had a bad rattle even before I modified it. Maybe I just got something out of spec. Glad yours worked well, that’s a great looking Bronco, who makes your rear bumper?
I lived on Fillmore and Geary for 5 years, you’re a brave man having all the toys on your truck there. I’d be too scared people would steal everything off of it
If the metal one they’re selling is the same brand, then maybe. Try giving them a call and see if it’ll fit but if you need to cut, it was pretty easy with a dremel and metal file. Let me know if you do any other mods to it if you go that route, good luck!
I have the rtr mount but I had to do some modifications to get it to work with my Jerry can. It’s not the same as yours but they built the mount to only work with their Jerry can.
You can see the circled red area shows where I had to cut the metal to fit my Jerry can.
Besides the fitment issue...
