Mine had a leak that was repaired under warranty. Unfortunately I was unable to get a great explanation of what weather stripping they replaced since the dealer outsourced to a third party "water doctor".
I think the issue on mine were the corners of the rear window were channeling the water...
I'm guessing you ordered while they had stock in the states and I'm waiting on a boat. Ordered 8/5 and have a current ship date of 8/22-29.
Thankfully I'm not in a rush. After waiting almost 2 years on the bronco and 11 weeks on a goose gear seat delete kit I'm learning patience.
I'm a day two reservation, base 2dr. Nothing was taken off of the purchase price at the time I bought the bronco. Jeremy filed the price protection deal and told me that Ford would send me a check, which they did for $800.
When I asked Jeremy for details he replied;
"On my end there was...
Has anyone received the full price protection? I purchased my bronco from Stephens on June 8th and was supposed to have received price protection in the amount of $2,300. On June 21st I got a check from Ford for $800. I still haven't seen the remaining $1,500.
When I called Ford they told me...
There doesn't seem to be a leak that I can see when I hose it down but I'm with you that almost has to be the case. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I'll have to keep an eye on it. I pulled the drain plugs in the jack and storage compartments for good measure.
Definitely not going to install...
I ordered the rear seat delete about 10 weeks ago so I'm hoping it comes in soon. Unfortunately something has come to my attention that has me a little concerned. It rained yesterday and when I opened the swing gate this morning water poured out of the weather stripping.
It's the second time...
I'm just catching up on this thread and it seems like everyone is in consensus that condensation is the issue. That said, it seems like a pretty big issue. I assumed it was a leak because the last couple times it's rained I've had water pour of of the weather stripping when I open the swing...
I just spoke to the finance manager at my dealer and he told me the price protection comes in the form of a rebate check that will be mailed to me following the purchase. That isn't the way I read the process on Ford's website;
"This pricing adjustment will take place at the time of delivery...
It requires you accept activation from the vehicle so unless some hobo is hitching a ride it won't do too much.
Responding to you does make me wonder how they ship the keys in the event something nefarious were to occur.
Thanks for the reply. Did they deliver to your door or did you have to pick it up at the local FedEx hub? I didn't read the fine print until after I ordered and thought it was a little odd.
