  1. Post your reservation date when posting "I'm out."

Had July 14 and Oct 1 reservations. Cancelled both. Between the constraints of packages to get what I wanted, the awful interior color accents (blue interior accents in a CO or red BD?) and the price creep, I just couldnā€™t do it. Happened across a Wrangler that fit everything i wanted, (limited...
  2. SAD: I can't afford the new Bronco. :(

Iā€˜ve watched too many people work 60+ hours a week and squirrel everything away just to drop dead within a year of retirement. Now I am not advocating no savings or retirement planning, just that there has to be a balance between that and living life. I have some retirement savings, I cannot...
  3. SAD: I can't afford the new Bronco. :(

Itā€™s pretty much a wash between the two. The caveat is that you need to start with the same pre tax investment amount for both accounts. Your initial investment in a traditional IRA or 401k will be higher, therefore the balance is larger at a given point in the future. But, you pay more tax on...
  4. SAD: I can't afford the new Bronco. :(

What if God screws you and you donā€™t make 55? Itā€™s a good thing Dad loved to work. Itā€™s all he ever did.
  5. mpg numbers before December?

If you have to ask about mileage, you should be shopping a different vehicle. I can guarantee the Bronco will do better than my F350 with a 6.8!
  6. What is driving $5K Big Bend upgrade cost from Base Model??

Intelligent Access is the biggest driver for me to want mid package. With it you can tape the key part of Fordā€™s horrid switchblade key fob shut and not get stabbed in the leg repeatedly. Heated seats are nice too, the rest of it, I donā€™t really need.
  7. Any concerns of a first year model, during a pandemic, under allocation, about vehicle safety?

In a manufacturing environment like Ford, production and marketing are two separate entities that merely have to co exist. Yes production wants to build as fast as possible, but they have quality targets to maintain. Allocation means nothing to production, they are merely provided a list of...
  8. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

If Ford places that much emphasis on market size, I might as well go buy something else. Iā€™ll have time to wear it out before Ford builds my reservation in 2026. There isnā€™t a new car dealer of any flavor in the county I live in!
  9. Video: 6'3" guy climbs in and out of 2 door Bronco rear seats (+ full review)

This is exactly what I have been looking for. Tall kid should have room for his toes. He is tall, but has the type of build that you have to tie down on a windy day. My use for an off road vehicle has a length restriction so I have to go 2 door. Current Wrangler, 90% of the time the top is off...
  10. Ford email update -- reservations, ordering, mid-October Build & Price

How do you loose the deposit? Only if you walk away from the purchase. If you think you might walk away, you shouldnā€™t be placing a special order. If the dealer canā€™t deliver, you will be refunded the deposit. When you place the order, you have a contracted price from that point forward. The...
  11. $2000 off Invoice on October Bronco Reservations at Granger Ford

Thinking I want to go with Basemansquatch, so just made a second reservation with Granger. I will keep my original reservation with a local dealer for now. No need to stress over waiting for the build and price. When it comes out I can decide what I want and cancel one of the reservations. I...
  12. Have Questions For Bronco Super Celebration East?

I just want some good pictures of the rear footwell on a 2D. Would be even better with an adult size shoe in it. That is the only deal breaker I have. Need to be able to shoehorn the mankid back there for short drives.
  13. man-squatch delay

Ford will have to do another EPA test for the Mansquatch. It takes time to certify another powertrain combination.
  14. My dealer said they (Ford) won't actually fulfill all the orders

They need to cover themselves for all possibilities. Has anyone ever seen what happens when a rail auto rack derails and rolls over? The rail services company pulls the vehicles from the rail car, then smashes them with an excavator. After this they are shipped for scrap for a second try at...
  15. White top. Why?

I guess I can only drive topless then?
  16. White top. Why?

The white top absolutely rocks. I have a JK with a white top. If I buy a Bronco it will have a white top. Whether Ford blesses the idea or not.
  17. Getting leather seats wet - how bad is it?

Most of the leather used in vehicles anymore doesnā€™t contain all that much dead cow. Itā€™s interesting how people here are all excited by marine grade vinyl, when not to many years ago you could not have sold them a car with plastic seats.
  18. How much money does ordering cost?

Refundability will likely vary based on state law. Some states require deposits on a vehicle to be refunded if the buyer chooses. The last couple vehicles I ordered, there was a $100 refundable deposit with the order, but the dealer never collected the deposit until the sale. They just covered...
  19. Delivery - Get Ready to Wait

I would guess Ford will open ordering to a block of reservation holders. Then, once you order, your build date will somewhat follow your order date. The ambitious soul that gets down to their dealer pronto and places the order will get priority over the one that goes in a month later. As far as...
  20. How much leg room for 2 door rear passengers?

More important than the legroom is the shape of the footwell. I have a 2 dr Wrangler, it isnā€™t so much the lack of legroom, there is no where to put your feet. The floor slopes down from the rear seat to under the front seats. I am waiting to see what that space looks like on the Bronco 2 dr.
