I think another post referenced Wildwood which is on the most southern tip of NJ: it used to be where the rich people went for the summer. Us po folks went to Seaside/Pt Pleasant

@timbits588 It's a Insta360 camera: the latest rage for YouTubers and others. Seen quite a few mounted on the rear of trailers that they were using for documenting the drive or for backup

No matter the source. There indeed would be salinity in that water just from the salt leaching from the sand.

Of course, driving in any water in a coastal environment should warrant concern and subsequent maintenance to clean/flush the vehicle. But I find driving in the dry sand can be just as detrimental. The salt trapped in the dry sand becomes atomized and airborne as the tires crush/grind the sand. That salt will penetrate further in the nooks/crannies of the undercarriage more than just driving on damp, hard pack.
