My Bronco has been parked outdoors in a sunny environment in the 2 years 7 months that I've owned it. Just in the last month I noticed the dreaded "zebra striping" on all four plastic fender flares. I can report that Solution Finish got them looking nearly new with little effort. I removed them, washed them, and degreased them with alcohol (and a panel prep spray to be extra clean) and applied just one coating of Solution Finish. I only let it dwell 30-60 seconds before buffing off the excess with a microfiber cloth. I then did the same thing to my rear bumper, which for a long time has show some white/gray splotches, dots, mineral deposits(?), etc. The plastic coating over the steel bumper wasn't quite as absorbent as the flares, but the end result was also excellent. I'm reporting this as I've had mixed results using Solution Finish over the years on different vehicles and plastics, but I had excellent results this time. Here are a couple of before/after pix.

Duplicolor trim and bumper paint is amazing stuff easy to spray and will not turn gray again. Used on my Daughters Escape and it held up for years!

I’ve had similar success with ExoForma Black Trim Restorer!

Glad you found a solution. Mine is Griots 3in1 ceramic spray wax on the entire exterior. Looks brand new. Been applying since 11/22

I also used solution finish on my trim as well. Here’s an extra tip. What it to last longer use g technic trim coating after. It will last even longer.

The best thing you can do is preventative maintenance, and Meguiar's Ultimate Black is great for that with its UV protection. The stuff even smells like sunscreen haha. Been using that every few months during the summer and it's worked great. If you're not applying any coatings to it until you start to see fading, you're asking for permanent or at least premature UV damage. Best of luck though - hopefully that stuff works well and doesn't need to be reapplied every couple of washes.

For sure, nothing wrong with that! I've been using Ultimate Black for 6 years or so on 3 different vehicles (2003 Chevy Avalanche, 2013 Police Interceptor Utility, and now my 2022 Wildtrak) and it's been working without fail, so I'm gonna keep using it. It also goes on my hard top panels. No cracking or anything yet after about 6 months of ownership of my '22.

My Bronco is ever further south where the sun is even more brutal. It's not outside all the time but the fender flares and top get real hot when in the sun. I have been applying 303 protectant to the fender flares, bumpers, front end and top. I apply regularly and more often in the summer with the heavy rains. So far so good, no fade yet.

Not to change the subject, but any recommendations for scuff marks on the interior of the doors?

How dare you change the subject! Straight to jail.
Nah, just kidding. I found that scratch marks can be VERY CAREFULLY repaired a little bit with a butane lighter. Apply a tiny bit of heat at a time, just for a second or two, to avoid melting the unscuffed plastic. I'll see if I can find the before-and-after photos I took; it’s not perfect by any means, but it helped conceal the scratches a bit by reducing the tiny plastic fibers from the abrasions. It happened because I was holding the door while removing it myself, and forgot to remove my multitool from my front belt loop.

I have had good luck with the Meguiar's stuff or the similar turtle wax stuff from AutoZone or O'Reilly's (like Autoparts store). Problem is you then get into the habit of requiring the touch-ups. If you ever put on professional wax, you will run into similar problems trying to get the overspray/splatter marks off.

Could always switch to aftermarket and then it is an easy touchup spray can if you ever have anything chip the coating.

I'm pretty consistent and anal about stuff like this, so I may be a special case. But personally every 3 months I re-clay bar, polish and carnauba wax my whole car except during winter. I do it all by hand and don't use power tools other than a pressure washer. It's therapeutic for me to detail my rig haha. So splatter and touchups havent really been an issue so far :)
