We can finally talk about these NEW GARRETT TURBOS!!

So there hasn't been much data out there in the community on these turbos, simply because there wasn't very many running them and Garrett asked to keep things quiet.

Garrett reached out to a customer a while back to do some testing on his Bronco Raptor, on 39 in tires! This hadn't been done on a Brocno before so Nostrum asked if we'd test their fuel system out at the same time, since that hadn't been done on a Bronco either!

These did extremely well, +233whp over stock on an ethanol blend + Nostrum fuel system. VERY VERY good for massive tires!

These were actually featured as the secret prototype turbos in our vlog on Matt's truck:

Super excited to get some of these on our R&D Bronco Raptor soon!

If you guys have questions, Let me know!!

Excellent!

What all do you have planned for drivetrain mods to support the added power?
I'd imagine the first thing that would be needed would be transmission work. But I don't bang gears hard (tuning wise), so I'm not super worried. I'm sure that will be first though.

Motor wise I haven't found that limit yet. I've been putting my Bronco Raptor through it's paces VERY hard

Nice job @GooseTuned ! Glad to see it's coming together so smoothly.
Is there a HP / TQ goal in mind, or are you just limit testing?

Thanks man!

My personal truck makes mid 600s. I need to get these Garrett turbos on my truck and test.

What I don't like is they are *slightly* more laggy, and offroad (I do A LOT of this) that isn't ideal.

The truck I tested them on had heavy 39s, 120lbs a corner, so that wasn't helping things at all. I'll throw them on my truck on stock tires, and see how they do.

I'm 100% ok with breaking what I need to break on MY truck, to see what needs to be fixed. So far this is proving to be amazing. The gearing has a lot to do with that.

Electrically assisted turbochargers eliminate the “laggy.”
